Special City Council Meeting

CITY OF BRUSH! MINUTES OF THE MAY 16, 2016 – SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING The City Council of the City of Brush, Colorado met in special session on May 16, 2016. Mayor Chuck Schonberger called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. The meeting was held at Brush City Hall. The pledge of allegiance was given. Present on roll call were: Mayor Chuck Schonberger Councilor Jeanine Anderson Councilor Rick Bain Councilor Heath Becker Councilor Kimberly Dykes Councilor Vicky Quinlin Absent: Councilor Marlene Baker Also present were Assistant City Administrator Karen Schminke, Public Works Director Dale Colerick, and City Clerk Andrea Strand. MANAGEMENT Contract to Buy and Sell Real Estate Between The City of Brush and Dennis L. Bostron, Personal Representative of Donald E. Bostron Estate. Public Works Director Dale Colerick presented the contract and addendums and disclosures for Council’s consideration to purchase an approximately 50 acre farm with 9.5 water shares of Upper Platte and Beaver Canal Company. Councilor Quinlin moved, second by Councilor Dykes to authorize the Mayor to sign contract, addendums and disclosures related to the purchase of the Property from the Donald E. Bostron Estate. Councilor Anderson asked about the value of the property and Director Colerick stated that an appraisal would be completed and this contract was the first initial offer to the seller. It was approved unanimously by roll call vote.
