CALL TO ORDER
Mayor King called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

MOTION:
Motion by Council Member Sanchez, seconded by Vice Mayor Silva, approving Consent
Calendar Items 1 through 4 as listed.

COUNCIL MEMBER COMMENTS/ITEMS
Council Member Sanchez thanked the Buellton Chamber and Visitors Bureau for hosting
Buellton’s State of the City event and for honoring him with the Vincent B. Evans award.
Vice Mayor Silva requested that staff look into adding ADA playground equipment in the
City’s Parks, requested a status on installing a splash pad at Village Park and planting 1,000
trees in the City.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Council Member Hornick announced that he attended a Green Team meeting and provided
an oral report for the record.
BUSINESS ITEMS
5. Presentation by Central Coast Community Energy
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council receive a presentation by 3CE.
STAFF REPORT:
City Manager Wolfe presented the staff report.

SPEAKERS/DISCUSSION:
Judi Young, Senior Customer Accounts Manager with 3CE provided a presentation and
responded to questions from the Council.
6. Avenue of Flags Median 3 Conceptual Plans
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council provide comments regarding the Median 3 conceptual plans, and
give direction to staff for construction drawings to be prepared.
STAFF REPORT:
Assistant Planner Cara Miralles presented the staff report and Cal Poly Landscape
Architect Intern Ioanna Bruno provided a PowerPoint presentation describing the Median
3 conceptual plans.
DOCUMENTS:
Staff report with attachments as listed in the staff report.
SPEAKERS/DISCUSSION:
The City Council discussed the Median 3 conceptual plans, including preferences and
modifications.
DIRECTION:
The City Council agreed by consensus to direct staff to bring back revised conceptual plans
that include Design Concept 1, with variations of Art Deco design, and “menu style”
options to consider.
CITY MANAGER’S REPORT
City Manager Wolfe provided an informational report for the record.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor King adjourned the regular meeting at 7:32 p.m. The next regular meeting of the
City Council will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

including the Consent Agenda and Closed Session. Limited to three (3) minutes per speaker. By law, no action may be
taken at this meeting on matters raised during Public Comments not included on this agenda. Public Speakers using a
translator are allotted a total of six (6) minutes to speak, unless simultaneous translation equipment is used.
