Buena Vista Water Advisory Board Minutes of September 21, 2023 Call to Order Meeting called to order by Kelly Collins at 6:43 pm at BVPW meeting room & on a Zoom format Attendance and Introductions In attendance were: Roy Gertson, Kelly Collins , Shawn Williams, Jeff Ollinger , (on Zoom) Tony LaGreca, and Guest Liz Daigle ( prospective member) Agenda Adoption Motion By Tony, 2nd by Jeff to approve agenda as presented, motion carried Approval of Minutes Minutes from July 23, 2023 Motion by Tony , 2nd by Jeff to approve the minutes. Vote by members approved. Public Comment; none Business : 1. Shawn presents updates on various projects: July & August were high demand months with approx 30 MG / month Water Dept still working on leak detection, finding three leaks Exterior 0.750 MG tank painting proceeding by WBS Coating Well # awaiting new pump and 3 phase power, production expected to be 300gpm. Well 4 will proceed spring of 2024 at a projected cost of $200K. Wright wa- ter will prepare an analysis. New meter reading system for next year using AMR technology. Treatment plant completion is scheduled by Fall of 2024 Elk Run final application received, Swiftwater Solutions ( Al Smith) and WWE to review as well as Water Advisory Board. 2. Conservation Plan update by Kelly. RFP approved by Motion from Tony & 2nd by Roy and vote of members. WAB discussed advertisement for bidders.Shawn will proceed with the advertisements. Kelly & input from WAB members developed a concise RFP with project objectives. 3. Ivy League is till looking for leaks. Joe Pedrie ,BV water supervisor is training their staff. 4. WAB discussed how to expedite meeting minutes quicker to the Town Council. Minutes fo WAB meting are delayed to next meeting for approval , then for- warded to Council. WAB will try a email approval to send earlier, then vote officially at their next meeting . 5. Liz Daigle is interested in membership and will proceed with her applica- tion. Also, Augmentation Certificate from UAWCD approval requirements and what percentage is appropriate for Town’s water portfolio Next meeting: October 19 , 2023 Seeing that there was no further business, a motion to adjourn was requested Motion by Roy , second by Jeff to adjourn the meeting at 7:50 PM.
