A vehicle was stopped for displaying a Colorado license plate but a Texas window sticker. During the encounter, the officer located marijuana, mushrooms, and methamphetamine. One subject now calls Comal County home. At least till he bonds out or goes to trial. 12/02 – Burglary Building – Villas at Bulverde. Complainant requested an officer reference a stolen cooler. Complainant states someone broke into this storage unit and stole a Yeti cooler. 12/03 – Suspicious Person / DWI Blood Draw – Walmart Parking Lot. An officer was dispatched for a subject passed out in a car with the vehicle running and in drive. The subject was very intoxicated and was transported by EMS to Stone oak Methodist. A blood warrant was obtained, and the warrant was executed. Charges will be at large. 12/03 – Traffic Stop / POCS / PODP – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for expired registration. The driver did not have a driver’s license but did have an open container of alcohol, marijuana and methamphetamine. Comal County gained a temporary resident. 12/04 – Traffic Stop / Possession Drug Paraphernalia / Warrant Service – Singing Hills. A vehicle was stopped for running a stop sign. The driver was in possession of marijuana and the passenger had a warrant for DWI out of Bexar County. Passenger was arrested and the driver was cited and released. 12/04 – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for expired registration. While on the stop the driver was found to have several BMC warrants. The subject contacted his father who obviously loves his son and paid the warrants in full. 12/04 – Assault - Hwy 281. An officer was requested for two workers who got into a physical altercation. One subject quit his job and then punched his supervisor in the face. Both subjects did not want to file charges. 12/04 – Traffic Stop / Possession Drug Paraphernalia – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. While on the stop the officer located marijuana and paraphernalia. The items were exchanged for a citation. 12/05 – Theft $2500-$30K – Belle Oaks. A contractor reported that on two separate occasions stucco materials were stolen from job sites. He tried to report the incident to insurance company, but they required a police report. 12/05 – Disturbance / Possession Drug Paraphernalia – Belle Oaks. Officers were dispatched for a disturbance between a male and female with the male “high on meth”. Upon arrival one subject was found to be in possession of marijuana. The incident was verbal only and no one was high on meth. 12/06 – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. The driver couldn’t manage a driver’s license but did manage to have BMC warrants. The subject was able to get online and pay the warrants. 3 Page 6 of 18 12/06 – Traffic Stop / Possession Drug Paraphernalia – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for expired registration. While on the stop, the officer located marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The items were exchanged for citations, and the driver was released. 12/06 – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – Bulverde Crossing. A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. While on the stop, the driver was found to have BMC warrants. The driver was able to get online and pay the warrants. 12/06 – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. While on the stop, the driver was found to have BMC warrants. The subject then followed the officer to city hall where he spoke with the court making a payment. 12/07 – Deceased Person – Heights of Bulverde. An officer was requested for a 72-year-old male who passed away while in Hospice Care. There were no suspicious circumstances suspected or observed. 12/07 – Traffic Stop / Possession Drug Paraphernalia - Bulverde Road. A vehicle was stopped for speeding. While speaking with the driver the officer observed contraband in plain view which led to a search. Marijuana and other contraband were discovered. The items were exchanged for a citation and the violator was released. 12/07 – Assist Other Agency – Premier Physicians ER. An officer was dispatched to the location for a patient presenting with alleged sexual assault. The offense occurred in the county, held the scene until a deputy arrived. 12/08 – Threats – Spring Branch Middle School. A student was found to have made threats of violence and self-harm. Administration at the school is addressing the matter. 12/08 – Civil Matter - Ruiz Motors. Caller was complaining about an issue with a car she just purchased. The matter was civil and officers didn’t get involved. 12/08 – Traffic Stop / Possession Drug Paraphernalia – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for expired registration. While on the stop the officer observed contraband in plain view. The driver couldn’t manage to provide a valid driver’s license, but he didn’t forget his pot. Subject cited and released: the vehicle was impounded. 12/08 – Disturbance / Injury to the Elderly – Rodeo Drive. Officers were dispatched for a disturbance between a parent and their adult child. The adult child had assaulted his other and her elderly friend. The adult child now will be getting three hots and a cot courtesy of the county. 12/08 – Found Property – HEB. An officer was requested for a small caliber pistol that was located in the men’s restroom at HEB. The weapon was entered as found property and stored in the evidence room. 12/09 – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for expired registration. The driver could not produce a valid driver’s license, plus he had several warrants with BMC. The subject was able to get online and pay on the warrants, dodging a trip to New Braunfels. 12/10 – Welfare Check / Assist Other Agency – Hwy 281. An officer stopped to assist a stranded motorist. The motorist stated they had struck a deer and were okay. About 4-hours later CCSO and DPS call stating that vehicle may have been involved in a hit and run vs a pedestrian. All the information was turned over for their investigation. 12/11 – Deceased Person – Oak Village North. An officer was requested to the location for a 67- year-old male who was found deceased. The subject was located sitting in his truck in the driveway. The subject was supposed to be on the way to a doctor’s appointment. The subject was on several medications, there were no suspicious circumstances suspected or observed. 12/11 – Theft / Civil Matter – Belle Oaks. Complainant advised he had an agreement with a contractor to build a fence. He’s $14k in and still has no fence and the contractor won’t respond to calls. Incident is under review. 4 Page 7 of 18 12/11 – Forgery – Bulverde Hills. Complainant advised a check was cashed on her elderly fathers account in the amount of $2000. The name the check was cashed in is in our records management system. He will be questioned on the check he cashed. 12/11 – Road Rage Incident with a Gun – Hwy 46. Two vehicles were road raging with a female brandishing a gun. Both parties are looking to press charges, the incident is under review. 12/13 – Deceased Person – Oak Village North. An officer was requested for a 91-year-old male who passed away. There were no suspicious circumstances suspected or observed. 12/13 – Unauthorized Use Motor Vehicle – Home Depot. An employee of Home Depot reported a Penske Truck that was not returned on time. A demand letter was delivered but no response was received. A suspect was identified, video obtained, next stop, arrest warrant. 12/13 – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – FM 1863. A vehicle was stopped for speeding. The driver was found to have 4 warrants with BMC. The warrants were paid online and the driver was released. 12/13 – Warrant Service – County. A Garden Ridge officer was on a traffic stop with a subject who had active BMC warrants. The subject was able to get online and pay the warrants in full. 12/14 – Warrant Service – City Hall. A subject was found to be hanging out in the county cell block with active warrants from BMC. The warrants were served before the subject could be released. 12/14 – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. The driver was not able to produce a driver’s license and insurance but was found to be sitting on a warrant out of Travis County for DWI. Travis County surprisingly confirmed the warrant, and the subject was arrested and taken to the county jail. 12/14 – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. While on the stop, the driver was found to have two TCIC/NCIC warrants out of Randall County. The subject was arrested on the warrant and taken to jail. 12/15 – Disturbance – Bourbon and Branch. Officers were dispatched for a disturbance between several subjects in the parking lot. While officers were investigating the incident, one of the involved had a little too much liquid courage which landed him on the ground and in handcuffs. 12/15 – Traffic stop / Warrant Service – Singing Hills. A vehicle was stopped for disregarding a stop sign. While on the stop the driver was found to have a warrant for criminal mischief out of Comal County. One was arrested and given a temporary address at the county jail. 12/15 – Santa Claus in Bulverde – BPD arranged for Santa to ride atop a BSB Fire Truck where several stops were made throughout the community with anxious children awaiting his arrival. 12/16 – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for a registration issue. The driver couldn’t produce a driver’s license or insurance but was found to be concealing three warrants with BMC. A bond was accepted for a new court date. 12/16 – Theft / Trespassing – Hampton Inn. An officer was requested for a female causing a disturbance. The subject was later located walking on Hwy 46. she had taken a Walgreens basket as well. She was given a ride towards Canyon Lake and trespassed from the Hampton Inn. Walgreens wrote off the cart. 12/17 – Traffic Stop / Possession Drug Paraphernalia – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for defective equipment. The car smelled like Snoop Dogs dressing room leading to a search. Several pieces of paraphernalia were located and exchanged for a citation. 12/18 – Burglary Motor Vehicle – IHOP Parking lot. The complainant advised that his wife and daughter were at the IHOP when their unlocked vehicle was burglarized. The victims’ cards were used at Walmart a short time later. Video of those transactions has been requested. 12/18 – Deceased Person – Oak Village North. An officer was requested for a 72-year-old male who passed away while under hospice care. There were no suspicious circumstances suspected or observed. 5 Page 8 of 18 12/18 – Traffic Stop / Possession drug Paraphernalia – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for expired registration. The officer smelled marijuana and the driver said he had to be mistaken. Their stash was located within a minute of the search. It was exchanged for a citation. 12/18 – Found Property – Bulverde Oaks. A citizen requested an officer for a box that was left by his trash can that contained mail from 5 different addresses in and around Bulverde. The owners of the mail will be sought to advise them of the mail theft. 12/18 – Leaving the Scene of Crash – Bulverde Road. An officer was requested for a minor crash between two vehicles with one driving away. Both vehicles were located with one flat out saying the officer was wrong. After locating paint transfer, the fibbing driver admitted his wrong doings and confessed his sins of lying. He was cited and released. 12/19 – Crash / Impound – Hwy 281. An officer was requested for a two-vehicle minor crash. The person who caused the crash had no driver’s license or insurance. The driver was cited and his vehicle was impounded to help protect other innocent drivers who have insurance. 12/20 – Criminal Mischief – Walmart Parking lot. The complainant advised he parked in a handicap spot and another vehicles occupants started yelling at them as they were going to park there. When the reporting party came back out his car was scratched down the side. Video has been requested. 12/22 – Violate City Ordinance / Trespassing – HEB. An officer was requested for a family asking for money on HEB property. Management has had issues with one of the subjects. A citation was issued, and the subjects were trespassed from HEB property. 12/23 – Suspicious Circumstances – Walmart. Caller advised BPD that a white male subject was following her while shopping at Walmart. Video surveillance was watched by Walmart personnel as well as BPD. The caller and the alleged suspect pass each other twice but nothing suspicious was observed by either reviewing party. 12/23 – Traffic Stop / Possession Drug Paraphernalia – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for expired registration. The car reeked of mary jane. A PC search revealed marijuana, a THC vape pen and an open container of alcohol. The contraband was seized in exchange for a citation. 12/24 – Reckless Driver / DWI Blood Draw / UCW – Hwy 281. Officers were dispatched for a vehicle traveling south in NB lanes. The vehicle was located and the driver smelled like a keg stating he was trying to get to Arkansas. He refused to attempt any tasks and refused to blow. A warrant was signed and a blood draw was executed. The subject then spent Christmas in New Braunfels. 12/24 – Forgery – HEB. An officer was requested to speak with one of the bookkeepers who located $240 in counterfeit bills. HEB stated they could not provide video on the exchange of the bills. 12/24 – Lost Property – T-Mobile. Caller states they lost their phone while at T-Mobile. They also mentioned a suspicious green Mustang parked next to their car. Officers are requesting video from HEB. 12/24 – Stored Abandoned Vehicle – Hwy 46. A vehicle was abandoned on the side of Hwy 46 for more than 48 hours. The vehicle was impounded per state law. 12/24 – Deceased Person – Edgebrook. An officer was requested for a 66-year-old female who passed away while in hospice care. There were no suspicious circumstances suspected or observed. 12/25 – Deceased Person – Hwy 46. An officer was dispatched for a 91-year-old male who passed away while in hospice care. There were no suspicious circumstances suspected or observed. 12/26 – Traffic Stop / Possession Drug Paraphernalia – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for expired registration. While on the stop, the officer located marijuana, which was exchanged for a citation. 6 Page 9 of 18 12/26 – Traffic Stop / DWI Blood Draw – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The driver exhibited signs of intoxication and failed the SFST’s. The subject consented to a blood draw. 12/26 – Traffic Stop / DWI Blood Draw – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for 95 mph on Hwy 281. The driver exhibited signs of intoxication and couldn’t remember his date of birth. The driver failed the SFST’s and refused a sample. A warrant was signed and a blood sample was obtained. One new resident at the county jail. 12/27 – Child Custody Dispute – Oakland Estates. Caller explained they had a judge’s order requiring child exchange. The child was with a grandparent at the time. Caller failed to reveal all the requirements of the judge’s order. No action was taken. 12/27 – Traffic Stop / DWI Blood Draw – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for expired registration. The driver was found to have warrants with BMC. The subject was able to get online and pay the warrants. 12/27 – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – County. A Deputy stopped a subject who had BMC warrants. The warrants were taken to the deputy with the subject being able to get online and pay the warrants. 12/27 – Traffic Stop / Possession Drug Paraphernalia – Bulverde Crossing. A vehicle was stopped for expired registration. The driver was found to be in possession of a THC vape pen, which was exchanged for a citation. 12/27 – Deceased Person – Heights of Bulverde. An officer was requested for an 88-year-old female who passed away. There were no suspicious circumstances suspected or observed. 12/27 – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for an expired registration. The driver was found to have BMC warrants and was able to get online and pay the warrants in full. 12/27 – Warrant Service – County. A deputy was out with a subject on BMC warrants. When the officer met the deputy, they backtracked and decided they no longer wanted to book the subject into jail. BPD took custody and finished what the deputy wouldn’t. 12/27 – Warrant Service – County. A deputy was out with a subject who had BMC warrants. A BPD unit met with the duo and the violator was able to get online and pay the warrants in full on the city’s old online system since the new system was down. 12/28 – Traffic Stop / Possession Controlled Substance – Hwy 281. A vehicle was topped for expired registration. The car reeked of marijuana which led to a PC search. That PC search located a stash of Heroin. One new resident in New Braunfels. 12/28 – Trespassing – Oak Village North. Caller requested an officer to trespass an adult step- child that showed up after her husband passed away. The adult was trespassed and left the location. 12/28 – Disturbance / Warrant Service – Villas at Bulverde. A soon to be ex-wife called to report her soon to be ex-husband had warrants with BMC. The subject paid his warrants at which time BPD located two warrants on the wife…..She was able to pay as well. 12/28 – Warrant Service – Singing Hills. A subject was observed driving in Bulverde who had a warrant out of Bexar County. The subject was located at his apartment building where he was arrested on the TCIC-NCIC warrant. 12/28 – Traffic Stop / Possession Controlled Substance – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for an expired registration. The driver couldn’t manage a driver’s license but didn’t forget his marijuana or his heroin. Comal County gained another temporary resident, who will probably submit a mail-in ballot during the next presidential election. 12/28 – Disturbance / Trespassing – Oak Village North. The daughter of a deceased mail showed up from out of state to deal with family matters. The deceased wife, and step-mother to her husbands daughter wanted her step-daughter trespassed from her house. 7 Page 10 of 18 12/28 – Disturbance / Warrant Service – Villas at Bulverde. A couple going through a divorce were having a disagreement. The wife told officers her husband had BMC warrants. He paid his warrant online. Officers then found the wife had warrants too. She also paid her warrants online. 12/28 – Warrant Service – Singing Hills. A subject was observed driving in Bulverde who had a warrant out of Bexar County. The subject was located at his apartment building where he was arrested on the TCIC-NCIC warrant. 12/29 – Suspicious Circumstances / Runaway – Hwy 46. A subject rang a doorbell and ran away. She was located and found to be a runaway. She was picked up by a parent and returned home. 12/29 – Theft $100 - $750 – Belle Oaks. Complainant advised he had subcontractor who didn’t complete a job and had some materials he wouldn’t return. Complainant was advised it was a civil matter since the contractor didn’t approve of the subs work. 12/29 – Disorderly Conduct – Fighting – Texas Tacos. Officers were dispatched for a fight in progress. A 34-year-old man and a 16-year-old male were fighting inside Texas Tacos. The fight happened because of machismo… Now they will have to answer to a Judge. 12/29 – Deceased Person – Belle Oaks. An officer was requested for an 87-year-old female who passed away while in hospice care. There were no suspicious circumstances suspected or observed. 12/29 – Deceased Person / Suicide – Bulverde Hills. Officers were dispatched reference a 56- year-old female with a gunshot wound to the head. A preliminary investigation is consistent with suicide. 12/29 – Disturbance – Criminal Mischief – Hwy 281. Officers responded to a house behind Maxx’s Roadhouse for a disturbance a male and female with a female breaking windows. At the end of the event no assault occurred and no one wanted to press charges for the broken windows. 12/30 – Deceased Person – Heights of Bulverde. An officer was requested for an 82-year-old female who passed away while in hospice care. There were no suspicious circumstances suspected or observed. 12/30 – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – Hwy 46. A vehicle was stopped for expired registration. The driver was found to have BMC warrant. He was able to get online and pay on the warrants. 12/30 – Disturbance / Assault – Walmart. An ex-employee waited for a current employee to show up to work and then assaulted the employee inside the Walmart. The suspect is identified and a warrant for assault will be part of his start to 2024. 12/31 – Traffic Stop / Possession Controlled Substance – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for traveling 100 mph. While on the stop, the officer located multiple THC related vape s and other items. The driver was arrested and transported to jail. 12/31 – Deceased Person – Bulverde Hills. An officer was requested for a 91-year-old male who passed away from natural causes. There were no suspicious circumstances suspected or observed. 12/31 – Warrant Service – Hwy 281. A subject with active BMC warrants was observed rolling through Bulverde. Once the officer observed the wanted subject, contact was made. The subject didn’t want to spend New Years Eve in jail, so they paid the warrants online. 12/31 – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service / POCS – Hwy 281. A vehicle was stopped for expired registration. The driver couldn’t manage a good driver’s license, but was wanted out of Burnet County on a TCIC/NCIC warrant. The subject also surrendered his shrooms that were in his boot. Good to be done with 2023… 12/31 – Trespassing – Walmart. A manager contacted officers to have an ex-employee who assaulted a current employee trespassed from the store.
