MINUTES PERSONNEL COMMITTEE AMUNDSON COMMUNITY CENTER 200 SPRING ST., CAMBRIDGE, WI 53523 THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2026, 6:30 PM 1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL: Trustee Blackwood called the meeting to order at 6:38 p.m. Members Present – Trustee Trendel and Trustee Blackwood Members Absent – Trustee Kreklau Others Present –Village Administrator Kris Breunig, Director of Public Works Cody Garcia, Village Forester Jae Ames 2. PROOF OF POSTING: Confirmed - upper and lower levels of the Amundson Center, Cambridge Post Office, Badger Bank, Bank First, and the Village website. 3. PUBLIC COMMENT: Village Forester Jae Ames voiced concern with the use of Chain of Command, Compensatory Time, and Flex Time. His biggest concern was that he does not want to see comp time or flex time go away. Director of Public Works Cody Garcia supported what was said by Jae Ames. He added that his situation is different being an Exempt Employee versus a Non-Exempt Employee as Non-Exempt Employees stand to lose the most if flex or compensatory time is removed. 4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS a. Discussion and Possible Action on Employee Handbook Motion by Trustee Blackwood to bring discussed changes to the Personnel Handbook to the full Village Board for approval. Second by Trendel. Motion carried by voice vote. 5. NEW BUSINESS – None. 6. CORRESPONDENCE – None. 7. REFERRALS TO STAFF: Next meeting, Trustee Trendel requested a Closed Session for compensation on the next agenda. Next meeting for the Personnel Committee will be February 18, 2026, with same agenda item as 4. a. under Unfinished Business. 8. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Trustee Blackwood to adjourn. Second by Trustee Trendel. Motion carried by voice vote.
