BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes A Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 9:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Bernabei called the meeting to order at 9:10 AM. Director of Public Service John Highman and Director of Public Safety Andrea Perry were present. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 1/26/2021 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 244/2020 Enter into a one (1) year contract with Huntington Insurance, Inc. for a total annual premium in an amount not to exceed $31,542.00 for $1 million of Cyber Insurance Coverage with a $100,000.00 deductible, brokered by Chubb, effective through January 31, 2022. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Director Perry made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 244/2020 Enter into a one (1) year contract with Huntington Insurance, Inc. for a total annual premium in an amount not to exceed $22,079.00 for $1 million of Cyber Insurance Coverage with a $100,000.00 deductible, brokered by U.S. Risk, LLC, effective through January 31, 2022. Discussion: Per Director Highman, the cyber insurance coverage by U.S. Risk will be stacked on top of the coverage provided by Chubb. This is being done this way per the recommendation of Huntington Insurance. The total cost for the two policies will be $53,621.00 for $2 million worth of coverage. Should there be a claim, Chubb would pay first, then the remaining cost would to go U.S. Risk. Essentially both companies are on call in order to deal with an incident and to have their services. Motion: Director Highman made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 3. Ordinance 244/2020 Enter into a professional services contract with AultCare Insurance Company for a new pharmacy prescription plan for City employees at a rate of $96.09 per employee per month. Discussion: Per Director Perry, this is the third-year renewal of a three-year policy. The rate of $96.09 is an increase from $90.15 for last year’s contract. The increase is due to the AFSCME members now being part of this plan. The City’s new rate of $96.09 is still below the national average rate of approximately $98.00 per employee per month. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried.  Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 4. Canton Codified Ordinance 107.07 Enter into contract with American Demolition, Inc. for the sale of scrap metal at $385.69 per ton and scrap wood at $50.00 lot price. Discussion: Per Director Highman, this is the sale of scrap material located at the Traffic, Sign & Paint Division. The price for the sale of scrap has gone up from the last sale of scrap that we did. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 5. Ordinance 12/2021 Enter into contract with Hol-Mac Corporation in the amount of $60,882.00 for the purchase of one Small Rear Loader Packer Truck Body for the Sanitation Department pursuant to the H-GAC Cooperative Purchasing Program which exempts said purchase from competitive bidding. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 6. Ordinance 206/2020 Enter into an agreement with Michael Albert in the amount of $1,528.00 for the Sale of Real Property Located at 1305 Shriver Ave. NE (Parcel Number 208998) which is no longer needed for municipal purposes. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced agreement. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried.
