BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes A Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 9:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Bernabei called the meeting to order at 9:01 AM. Director of Public Safety Andrea Perry was excused. Director of Public Service John Highman was present. Andy Roth substituted as Board Secretary in Katie Wise’s absence. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 5/11/2021 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 243/2020 Award and enter into agreement with Renee Dennis in the amount of $100.00 for the Sale of Real Property located on 15th St. SW (Parcel 246024), which is no longer needed for municipal purposes. Discussion: Mayor Bernabei asked if this was delayed from the previous week and if all irregularities were addressed and corrected as needed. All irregularities were corrected. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 244/2020 Enter into Change Order No. 1 with The Shelly Company in the amount of $98,276.25 for the 2021 City Paving Program, GP1351 due to the need for roadway base work on Woodland Ave. NW prior to paving, resulting in a new contract amount of $2,943,675.60. Discussion: Director Highman provided a brief description concerning the exact location of base work. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced change order contract. Ordinance 221/2020 Enter into a professional services agreement with Municipal Service Group dba Municipal Companies in the amount of $98,000.00 for the construction oversight services for the 39th St./Steese Area Storm, Sanitary and Roadway Reconstruction Project, GP1284. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 4. Ordinance 58/2021 Enter into a professional services agreement with ms consultants, inc. in the amount of $135,068.00 for the right of way acquisition services for the 11th St. SE Intersection and Roadway Improvements Project, GP1144. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried.
