BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes A Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 9:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Bernabei called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. Director of Public Safety Andrea Perry was present. Director of Public Service John Highman was excused. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. Visitor present was Tammy Hajdu from the Department of Development. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 8/24/2021 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 151/2021 Enter into American Rescue Plan Act Subaward Agreements with Stark County Community Action Agency for the Senior Telephone Reassurance and Independence Program in an amount not to exceed $74,000.00; Malone University for the Student Housing Program in an amount not to exceed $50,000.00 and Stark County Minority Business Association for the Minority Entrepreneurial Training Program in an amount not to exceed $169,000.00. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced subaward agreements. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance TBD Ordinance 171/2021 Enter into Change Order No. 1 with Arcadis U.S., Inc. in the amount of $54,302.00 for the Water Distribution System Hydraulic Model Program in order to perform transient modeling and evaluations, resulting in a new contract amount of $378,873.00. Ordinance 244/2020 Enter into a one-year supply contract with the option to renew one year at a time thereafter if mutually agreed upon, with Petroleum Traders Corporation for the City’s supply of bulk fuel. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 4. Ordinance 150/2021 Award and enter into a construction contract with Wenger Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $204,792.90 for the Parkridge Circle NW Water Main Extension Project.
