BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes A Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 9:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Director of Public Service John Highman called the meeting to order at 9:01 AM. Director of Public Safety Andrea Perry was present. Board President, Mayor Bernabei was excused. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 11/9/2021 - Minutes 1. Ordinance TBA/2021 Ordinance 220/2021 Award and enter into participation agreement STA-US 62-24.05 PID 100824 with the Ohio Department of Transportation to replace and relocate water lines along US Route 62. The City’s share of this improvement is estimated to be $1,156,920.00. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Director Highman made a motion to approve the above referenced agreement. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance TBD/2021 Ordinance 221/2021 Award and enter into participation agreement STA SR -172-10.86 PID 111010 with the Ohio Department of Transportation to replace water lines along State Route 172. Simpson Co., Inc. is the non-performance of professional services in the amount of -$950.40 for the Large Diameter Concrete Main Leak Assessment Program- Year Two contract #2019-122. Ordinance 136/2019 Ordinance 136/2019 Enter into Change Order # 1 - Year Three from M.E. Simpson Co., Inc. is for a time extension request from 12/31/2021 to 5/31/2022 for professional services for the Large Diameter Concrete Main Leak Assessment Program- Year Three contract #2019-122. Ordinance 54/2021 Ordinance 54/2021 Award and enter into a Design Build contract with Fred Olivieri Construction Company in an amount not to exceed $250,000.00 for the design and build of the City of Canton Welcome Signs, GP 1314 Project.
