SPECIAL BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes A Special Board of Control meeting was held Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 9:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Bernabei called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. Director of Public Safety Andrea Perry was present. Director of Public Service John Highman was excused. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 12/2/2021 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 244/2020 Enter into a one-year professional services contract with ComProducts, Inc. dba B&C Communications in the amount of $42,594.00 for the maintenance of the City’s portable/mobile Motorola radios. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 244/2020 Enter into a one (1) year contract with the Schauer Group, Inc. in the amount of $370,017.00 for property insurance for City owned buildings. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Perry seconded. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 3. Ordinance 244/2020 Enter into a professional services agreement with Wi-Fiber, LLC in the amount of $17,000.00 per month for the 2022 calendar year for the monthly cloud storage fees of the Connect & Protect platform cameras/sensors system, pending Income Tax approval. The terms of this agreement will be optional for renewal in 2023. Discussion: Mayor Bernabei asked about Ordinance 244/2020. Katie Wise explained that this was the Supply Ordinance for 2021. Director Perry stated that this contract is for the cloud storage of the Police Department’s footage from body cameras and in-car camera systems. Katie Wise also mentioned that the next steps in the contract process will be put on hold until approval has been given by the Income Tax Department to move forward. This was brought to Board of Control prior to Income Tax approval since the deadline to enter purchase orders for the year is on Monday, December 6th. Income Tax approval is one of the items necessary to have a contract fully executed by the Auditor’s Office. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced agreement. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. Adjournment: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Meeting adjourned: 9:03 AM
