BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes A Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 9:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Bernabei called the meeting to order at 9:02 AM. Director of Public Service John Highman and Director of Public Safety Andrea Perry were present. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 12/7/2021 - Minutes 1. Ordinance TBD Ordinance 261/2021 Enter into Change Order No. 2 & Final with Wenger Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $36,261.56 for the 12th St. NW Water Main Replacement Project due to quantity adjustments in the field, resulting in a new contract amount of $319,478.18. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance TBD Ordinance 259/2021 Enter into a five-year management agreement, with the option of a five-year renewal, with SMG for the management, operation and promotion of the Canton Memorial Civic Center. The base management fee will be $125,000.00 in the first year. There will also be an improvement benchmark set at $325,000.00 annually. Ordinance 223/2021 Enter into contract with Musco Sports Lighting, LLC in the amount of $659,570.00 for the purchase and installation of new lighting systems at Thurman Munson Stadium pursuant to the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Program which exempts said purchase from competitive bidding. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried.
