BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes A Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 9:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Bernabei called the meeting to order at 9:01 AM. Director of Public Service John Highman and Director of Public Safety Andrea Perry were present. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 11/15/2022 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 91/2021 Enter into a contract amendment with JR Coleman Family Services Corp. for capital improvements to the JRC Learning Center utilizing CDBG funds, in order to extend the contract expiration date from November 30, 2022 to March 31, 2023. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced amendment. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 256/2022 Enter into Change Order No. 1 with Wenger Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $57,266.64 for the Timken Pl./Clark Ave. Connector Project, GP1313 due to the removal of underground building foundations and concrete structures, resulting in a new contract amount of $437,676.67. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Highman seconded.  Discussion: No discussion. Ordinance 7/2022 Award and enter into a one-time supply contract with Pipelines, Inc. for the purchase of pipe and pipe fittings for the 11th St. Improvement Project, specifically bid items 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 18, 19, 21. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 4. Ordinance 7/2022 Award and enter into a one-time supply contract with Core & Main LP for the purchase of pipe and pipe fittings for the 11th St. Improvement Project, specifically bid items 1, 6, 10, 12, 15, 16, 17, 20 and 22. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried.
