SPECIAL BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Special Board of Control meeting was held Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Bernabei called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM. Director of Public Service, John Highman and Director of Public Safety, Andrea Perry were present. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 12/14/2023 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 50/2023 Award and enter into contract with CPS Construction Group, Inc. in the amount of $89,620.00 for the Cornerstone Parking Deck Cleaning and Sealing project. This contract amount is for the base bid, in addition to Alternate Bid Item 1 which is the sealing of parking surfaces with concrete sealer. This contract will also include the option of an additional $50,000.00 if Alternate Bid Items 3 through 6 are needed to be utilized as this project progresses, as listed below: a. Alternate 3-Repair/Replace Expansion Joint Seals b. Alternate 4-Repair/Replace Spalling Concrete c. Alternate 5-Replace Parking Deck Cove Joint Sealant d. Alternate 6-Replace Parking Deck Control Joint Sealant Discussion: Director Highman clarified that the amount spent on this project will definitely be $89,620.00. The purchase order will be opened for $139,620.00 to cover up to the $50,000.00 for all of the optional bid items. The items listed in the optional bid items will be assessed throughout the project and completed, as needed. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract.
