BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, November5, 2024 at 8:30 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Sherer called the meeting to order at 8:31 AM. Director of Public Safety, Andrea Perry was present. Director of Public Service, John Highman was excused. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 11/5/2024 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 222/2020 Enter into Change Order No. 3 & Final with Environmental Design Group for a cost reduction in the amount of $24,496.58 for the Allen Ave. SE Area Sanitary Sewer Replacement, GP1332, in order to close out the project, resulting in a new contract amount of $273,342.30. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 58/2021 Enter into Change Order No. 2 & Final with The Shelly Company for a cost reduction in the amount of $78,029.16 for the 36th St. NW Storm Sewer and Roadway Reconstruction - Phase 2, in order to close out the project, resulting in a new contract amount of $2,587,976.44. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Perry seconded.  Discussion: No discussion. Ordinances 50/2023 & 4/2024 Award and enter into a construction contract with Cavanaugh Building Corporation in the amount of $660,000.00, utilizing ARPA funds, for the Fire Station 1 Renovation Project. Discussion: Per Katie Wise, the engineer’s estimate for this project was $680,000.00. The bid came in at $660,000.00. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced change order.
