BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 8:30 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Sherer called the meeting to order at 8:30 AM. Director of Public Service, John Highman was present. Director of Public Safety, Andrea Perry was excused. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 11/19/2024 - Minutes 1. Ordinances 157/2023 & 4/2024 Award and enter into a construction contract with Standard Plumbing & Heating Co. in the amount of $3,331,750.00 for the City Hall Air Handler Replacement Project. Discussion: Per Director Highman, the contract award amount included the base bid price and also the bid price for all five alternate bid items. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance TBD Ordinance 234/2024 Enter into a professional services contract with Burgess & Niple, Inc. in the amount of $267,304.00 for the engineering services on the 2025 Large Diameter Sewer Cleaning & Inspection Project. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced contract.  Discussion: No discussion. Ordinance TBD Ordinance 236/2024 Enter into a professional services contract with WSP USA, Inc. in the amount of $57,394.00 for the design of the 11th St. SE Improvements Project, GP1144, pending Income Tax approval. Discussion: Director Highman added that the 11th St. Improvements Project was part of the Cherry Ave. Streetscape Project. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 4. Ordinance TBD Ordinance 235/2024 Enter into a professional services contract with Environmental Design Group, LLC in the amount of $112,122.00 for the engineering and design services for the 15th St. NE Streetscape Project, GP1438, pending Income Tax approval. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 5.
