SPECIAL BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 10:30 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Sherer called the meeting to order at 10:30 AM. Director of Public Service, John Highman was present. Director of Public Safety, Andrea Perry was excused. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 11/26/2024 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 3/2024 Enter into a three (3) year service agreement with Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. in the amount of $34,900.00 annually for Worker’s Compensation Administration Services. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced agreement. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 37/2021 Enter into Change Order No. 2 & Final with Gudenkauf, LLC for a cost reduction in the amount of $3,470.00 for the 2021 Fiber Optic Project, GP1354, in order to close out the project, resulting in a new contract amount of $202,053.00. Discussion: Mayor Sherer asked where the fiber project was located. Director Highman indicate that it ran down W. Tuscarawas St. and areas south. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Highman seconded.  down W. Tuscarawas St. and areas south. Ordinance TBD Ordinance 240/2024 Enter into a professional services contract with Burgess & Niple, Inc. in the amount of $278,100.00 for the development of the Asset Management Plan Update GS 2024-01 (Design) for the Engineering Dept. Discussion: Per Director Highman, this is the sanitary sewer asset plan. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. Adjournment: Mayor Sherer made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Meeting adjourned: 10:33 AM
