BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 8:30 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Sherer called the meeting to order at 8:33 AM. Director of Public Service, John Highman and Director of Public Safety, Andrea Perry were present. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 4/15/2025 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 211/2023 Enter into Change Order No. 2 with Sol Harris/Day Architecture, Inc. in the amount of $3,850.00 for additional design services on 11,000 SF of ceiling design in the concourse of the Civic Center Facility Improvements Project, Phase 1, resulting in a new contract amount of $220,000.00. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 259/2024 Award and enter into contract with Core & Main, LP for the purchase of Pipe and Pipe Fittings for the Water Department. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded.  Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 3. Ordinance 259/2024 Award and enter into contract with The Shelly Company in the amount of $3,898,638.00 for the 2025 City Paving Program. Discussion: No discussion Motion: Director Highman made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 4. Ordinance TBD Ordinance 76/2025 Enter into a professional services agreement with Verdantas LLC in the amount of $110,000.00 for the design of the Broad Ave. NW Area Waterline Replacement Project. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced agreement. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried.
