DAVID KERESTES: My name is David James Kerestes I live at 1019 25th St NW Canton, Ohio 44709. PRESIDENT SHERER: You have the floor. DAVID KERESTES: Um… I’m here tonight because I moved into a home through Stark Meteropolation Housing,…uh about the third week of November, telling me I needed to hurry up and get in there and it was ready and it might disappear real quick. About this time, no one even came to claim the third bedroom. The problem that I have is, when I moved in every window was filthy. There was nothing clean, there was grease all over the place and nobody cleaned the carpets. Rubble all over. These people are getting…are getting state funded money and I’m…just…in awe that there was nothing done. Windows not working, outlets broken. And I’m looking at a two-faced outlet with a two prong. It goes through ah…ah…rem board into a three phase wiring system over the two lights to a switch over to the GF5 box. Looking like a fire to me. Um…so I called the Building Department checking into…uh…building permits for the kitchen, bathroom, electrical furnace, roof and there’s none. They’re not pulling permits. They’re on state funded money not cleaning anything before people of depression and uh…lower mentality move in…uh…so I’m flabbergasted at that. So when I mentioned that to the gentlemen here, he sends out the Building Inspector, a guy named Rick, at 9 o’clock in the morning. Before the next day…um…I have a notice of termination. The only one I told anything to was this gentleman over here and the Building Department. Now A Plus Properties knows what I’m doing and ratting them out and I get this on my door. So I’m wondering how they found out I was even talking to anybody. So now that they know, they might as well know that they’re failing to pay proper property assessment tax under the auditor. They chased me out and tried to have me arrested when I tried to turn other people in on these matters. Exactly what I am speaking of here right now. Ok, now I used to be a contractor. It’s an unfair marketing advantage when people don’t have to pull permits and things of that nature, nor clean up apartments before I move in. Uh…but at this time the criteria of the city codes uh…Rick comes out and he tells me that there is a railing system there but quite frankly, the railing system is inadequate. It’s 3 quarter inch to beam. The requirement is an inch and a half, so you’ll have something to grab a hold of. I don’t even know if he knows his job. Then he didn’t write down any of the other violations nor did he look into the electrical hazard. Um… so quite frankly at this time I’m looking at this letter right here that says this notary was presented this termination on my lease on the first. But I never lived there because I’m over at the Refuge of Hope until the 25th. PRESIDENT SHERER: Could you please…uh…bring your remarks to a close please. DAVID KERESTES: Oh I’m sorry.
