Also umm … I’m not going to talk about umm … that’s for next time because I got so much on my plate right now, but the issues with the umm … killing of Frank Tyson I would like to umm … I already gave a copy to the reporter here last time about what I … what I did I wrote a letter to the inductees and sent it out to their agents for them not to come to the Hall of Fame. I didn’t say don’t accept your Yellow Jacket, that would be wrong of me to ask you not to accept, but I ask you to decline to come here until the issues with the Canton Police Department is addressed. With these killings and sicking dogs on people so, I don’t know how it’s going to work, I don’t know if it will work, if they will still continue to come, but I want you to know I’m trying to boycott that, for them not to come. Also, I can’t stay long I got to go somewhere for my mom but I’ll be back though but last week I stayed here to watch Chris’ … what Chris spoke about, about the Southeast getting … or the neighborhoods getting the attention they need. Umm … yes Chris’s area needs attention but so does Nate Cooks’ issue I … I mean area and Mr. Morris, your area. They all need attention and to put all that money into the Palace Theater. The people that live in my area, we don’t go to the Palace. So, you putting $600,000 in that area but you won’t put $600,000 into Metropolitan. Mr. Mariol saw how the gutters were full of leaves and how the … it … all it takes is a good power wash to wash the … its terrible over there. So come to the giveaway and … on Mondays and Tuesdays and just do a walk around. Mr. Cooks, you bring a couple of your members here with you and just bring a notebook and just walk the property. Honorable Members of City Council and citizens of Canton I greet you with peace, Assalamu Alaikum. I’m here to address this Chamber regards the ongoing genocide in Gaza and to request for the propose a Ceasefire resolution to be brought up for a vote. The Gaza headquarters of the United Nations Palestinian Refugee Agency in Gaza City has been leveled to the ground with airstrikes. Just like the dozens of medical facilities and hospitals the Israeli Military as bombed and turned into mass graves and committed the most heinous war crimes in modern history. Even makeshift camp sites have been targeted where Palestinians have been seeking refuge, after being driven out by airstrikes in every single so called safe zone. Gaza is now a chard wasteland littered with burning cars, mangled bodies, displaced and petrified children. If anyone on this Council had any doubts if the barbaric Israeli regime had any limits to their savagery. I hope you have found your answers in the imagines of the scorched Earth. The bodies burnt beyond recognition, the dismembered bodies of infants, the mass graves of bound and tortured Palestinians in hospital compounds. The people of Gaza dying from thirst and hunger in the worlds largest open air prison. I do believe that this Council has a conscious and believes there are limits that must never be crossed even in a state of war or conflict. With that being said, I once more request this Council to acknowledge the COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS JOURNAL 122 JOURNAL PAGE 266 MINUTES OF THE MEETING JULY 15, 2024 resolution that has been proposed and bring that up for a vote. (Applause) Our next speaker is Mr. Hasan Muheisen if you’ll please approach and give us your name and residential address. HASAN MUHEISEN: Assalamu Alaikum, my name is Hasan Muheisen, 615 Rodeo Street, Louisville, Ohio. We’ve been coming here for almost, maybe 4 months. Since then we don’t see any move from the City Council. I want to see if you can shake your hand with each other to see if you are really listening and hearing us for the last four months or are we just talking for no response. For that reason I think three minutes is nothing for us to say what we want to say for Frank Tyson or for any issues that we are facing in the City of Canton. I’ve been in the City of Canton, as a business man and with Mr. West. I known him when he was a Councilman. With Mr. Bill Smuckler when he was the President of the Council. With all the Mayors, and I want to see this administration or this new administration something to create for the City of Canton. Community Relations Board. Where the community can come and talk to the Council people, to the Mayor and address what they want to say for … and try to find a solution for these problems. That’s what I’d like to see that happen, really to improve the surfaces of the City of Canton here. I’d like to also emphasize on why we are coming here for four months. We want to say that death is everywhere in Gaza, for almost ten months. Ten months of suffering for the children, and the children who lost their moms or dads and no one in the whole world right now, even tried to get the Palestinians in Gaza any food or a drop of water or even electricity or services. I want to say that lots of hospitals been destroyed, a lot of schools have been destroyed. Thirty-nine thousand, that’s not enough for us to say “Yes we want to side by the peace and say, okay time is coming and it’s time for us to stop that killing the killing of the children.” Thank you. I’m here tonight speaking about dereliction of duty. What I have here in my hand is a receipt for 1002 Cleveland Avenue, Antonio Davis. He doesn’t own the home but he sales ice out of it and drugs. And the this will be the picture of the basement here where they’re working, digging it out. Now they had no permit while this was going on but what they’ve done is they pulled a permit now and when I went over there to talk to them they told me it was for a block and I said “Well what about concrete, that’s all jack hammered,” and then they said “Oh, and concrete too.” So, now I’ve gotten rhetoric from you Building Department, but then when I’m looking at these pictures where is was is that there’s no footer under that block and the ramifications is you have to have a footer inspection and your no longer grandfatered in. Umm… this picture right here where I put a laser up, to show you that they’re missing their footer, this house is being built on block. I don’t know if they’re robbing that guy or if he’s robbing you with them umm… here’s a picture of the roof from two weeks ago, got a brand new roof no permit for that, while your inspector there is missing all this and you do have a permit. New drywall, new insulation. I think someone is (inaudible). This guy set one up, I try to go to the cops and I try to tell people things and they don’t want to listen. The other problem is, I see all this contraband stuff up the road, that hundred and first airborne Rodney Fairingers house. And this would the person bringing all that stuff; selling pictures, gold and diamonds stolen stuff that you don’t want to hear about so I brought it to you tonight for (inaudible). And then there is your proud (inaudible) Airborne Ranger smoking meth, selling ice wreaking this place. What a veteran he is. This would be Joey place, 1988 open pit. Two fires, collecting $94,000 in a week. Here where you see this mess is where he put the air conditioner with no permit place burnt to the ground. This is now a medical center for $527,000. I see cocaine getting sold out at that place left and right. Umm … so quite frankly I don’t need to get into Lieutenant Jerry West son, Tom West selling cocaine over coppers before it burnt but I’ll sure tell my lawyer and make a folder for him bigger than this one, but this ones for you.
