Tuesday, April 13, 2021
Opening: The virtual meeting of the City of Cape May Planning Board was called to order
by Vice Chairperson Mike Jones at 6:30 PM. In compliance with the Open Public
Meetings Act, adequate notice was provided.

Resolutions:
Motion made by Mr. Gorgone to adopt Resolution number, 04-13-2021: 1 Conditional Use
Standards for Small Wireless Facilities in the Rights-of-Way in the City of Cape May Set
Forth in City Council Ordinance 416-2021, seconded by Mr. Belasco and carried 8-0. Those
in favor: Mr. Belasco, Mr. Elwell, Mayor Mullock, Deputy Mayor Sheehan, Mr. Shuler, Mr.
Gorgone, Mrs. Reed, Mr. Jones. Those opposing: None. Those abstaining: None.
Motion made by Mr. Gorgone to adopt Resolution number 04-13-2021: 2, Hess, 1249
Lafayette Street, seconded by Mr. Belasco and carried 8-0. Those in favor: Mr. Belasco, Mr.
Elwell, Mayor Mullock, Deputy Mayor Sheehan, Mr. Shuler, Mr. Gorgone, Mrs. Reed, Mr. Jones.
Those opposing: None. Those abstaining: None.
Open to the Public:
Discussion was opened to the public at 6:33 PM and closed to the public at 6:35 PM with no
public coming forward to comment.
Discussion:
There was a brief discussion initiated by Solicitor King regarding the status of the small wireless
facilities ordinance. Mayor Mullock shared that the ordinance was introduced with a small change

proposed by Mr. Gorgone. Mr. Gorgone said a portion of the ordinance was stricken as it was too
restrictive. Mr. Gorgone added that the ordinance was also changed to include that companies can
propose locations via land development applications to the Planning Board and Historic
Preservation Commission who can accept or reject the locations to retain control. Deputy Mayor
Sheehan shared that the City Solicitor said there may be a need to re-advertise because of the
changes to the ordinance.
Motion made to adjourn by Mr. Belasco at 6:39 PM with all in favor.
