8) PUBLIC HEARINGS: (p.18 & 97)
a) Carnation City Council will hold a public hearing to receive and consider public
comments regarding Design Standards updates. The substance of the draft
Design Standards is available for public review on the City’s website and in
person at City Hall. All interested persons are encouraged to listen and/or
attend the public hearing and to provide oral and/or written comments.
b) Carnation City Council will hold a public hearing to receive and consider public
comments regarding Landscape Standards updates. The substance of the
draft Design Standards is available for public review on the City’s website and in
person at City Hall. All interested persons are encouraged to listen and/or
attend the public hearing and to provide oral and/or written comments.
9) COUNCIL REPORTS AND REQUESTS: During this item, Councilmembers report on
activities and meetings from the previous two weeks. This space is important, as it
provides an opportunity for the Council, Staff, and public to understand how the
Councilmembers spend their time.

11) EXECUTIVE SESSION
(g) To evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review
the performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4),
discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of
employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur in a meeting
open to the public, and when a governing body elects to take final action hiring,
setting the salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or discharging
or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the
public.
