WAIVE the bidding procedure as defined in the Carson Municipal Code Section 2604(a) (Exhibit No. 3) 2. AUTHORIZE the City of Carson to piggy-back off of RFP No. 11-03, MBTA/CalACT cooperative bid (Exhibit No. 4). 3. APPROVE the purchase of one (1) 30-seat CNG Blue Bird All American T3RE bus and one (1) 36-seat Clean Diesel Glaval Legacy bus at a total cost of $580,000.00. 4. APPROPRIATE $260,000.00 from Proposition C Local Return funds, and $120,000.00 from the Air Quality Management District (AQMD) fund for a total cost of $380,000.00 to account nos. 9-90-999-180-8002 and 25-90-830-075-8002, respectively for the purchase of one (1) 30-seat CNG Blue Bird All American T3RE bus. 5. TO OPERATE CARSON'S FIXED-ROUTE BUS SYSTEM, THE CARSON CIRCUIT Recommendation: AUTHORIZE the Mayor to execute the agreement between the City of Carson and MV Transportation, Inc. to operate the City of Carson's fixed-route bus system, the Carson Circuit, for the period January 1, 2016, through December 31, 2021, with two one-year extensions based on performance, following approval as to form by the City Attorney. The five year total amount is $8,100,323.00.
