Resolution _____ 0f 2022: The Town of Denmark Town Board approves payments of General Fund Abstract #654, dated April 18, 2022, claim #83-103, Total of all claims $9,266.21. Resolution _____ 0f 2022: The Town of Denmark Town Board approves payments of Water District Abstract #79, dated April 18, 2022, claim #6, Total of all claims $471.00 Reports of Departments: A. Dog Control Office – Nick Astafan, Report of March 2022 B. Zoning & Planning a. Planning Board – No meeting in April due to lack of applications b. Lloyd Woodruff March 2022 Zoning Report 1. We need to compensate Kevin Gaines for covering Mr. Woodruff temporarily Resolution _____ 0f 2022: Town of Denmark Town Board hereby sets the salary of Deputy Zoning Enforcement Officer Kevin Gaines at $15.25 per hour for work he does in the absence of ZEO Woodruff for work performed in 2022. The Town of Denmark Town Board further directs that the money to pay Mr. Gaines be drawn from budget code B8010.1. c. IMA with Lewis County – Land Use and Zoning Administration Resolution_____ Of 2022: Town of Denmark Town Board hereby enters into an Intermunicipal Agreement for Land Use and Zoning Administration with Lewis County effective_________ and further authorizes Town of Denmark’s Supervisor Doyle to sign the agreement on behalf of the Town of Denmark. Letter dated 4/1/22, Floyd Lyng Post 723 American Legion, Request for $200.00 for flags for veteran's graves Page 1 of 3 Town of Denmark Town Board Meeting April 18, 2022 Resolution_____ Of 2022: Town Denmark Town Board hereby directs that a check be issued to American Legion, Floyd Lyng Post 723, Copenhagen NY, in the amount of $200.00 from budget code A6510.4 to help cover the costs of flags purchased for veterans’ graves. b. RACOG Report for April 2022 submitted by Mickey Dietrich. i. Update on Town of Denmark RACOG website c. Sales quote – Advanced Business Systems. Advanced Active Threat Hunting for Town Clerks office. Resolution _____ Of 2022: The Town of Denmark Town Board hereby authorizes Town Clerk Prudence Greene to sign sales quote #SQ953, for Installation of Advanced Active Threat Hunting on the two desktop and one laptop computers used by the Town Clerks’ office for a price of $21.00 per month. The Town Board further directs that the money for the monthly billing be taken from budget code A1410.4. d. Rescind / Correct resolution 60 of 2022 Resolution ______ Of 2022: The Town of Denmark Town Board hereby rescinds resolution 60 of 2022 and further directs that February 21, 2022, Highway Abstract 694, voucher 35 payable to Doug Boshart be corrected to show expenditure code DA5130.42. E. Superintendent of Highways & Special Districts – Patrick Mahar a. Update of department activity b. Paypal Discussion c. Budget Report d. Voucher Report Resolution _____ of 2022: The Town of Denmark Town Board approves payments Highway Department, Abstract # 696, dated April 18, 2022, claim #68-85, total of all claims $20,930.25. F. Supervisor’s Report a. Update on Real Property Tax Law Section 575-b. According to Candy Akin at Lewis County Real Property we can make the choice not to follow the model this year. There are many Towns not planning to institute the model. b. NYMIR Risk Assessment Review in August of 2021 went unanswered, now they want a response c. Water District Capital Fund Closure Complete d. Lavender Festival Permit e. Town Boiler Piping Concerns, Work Order Signed, awaiting weather change f. Reached out to four tire recycling facilities seeking requests for tire cleanup. DANC, Lewis County Solid Waste both have a fee of $350/ton, Cheney Tire Watertown NY - $10,500, Geiter Done of WNY Inc. $178/ton. Resolution _____ of 2022: The Town of Denmark approves hiring of Geiter Done of WNY Inc. at a cost of $178/ton from Garage Contractual A5132.4 to remove all waste tires from the property as paid prior. We will pay for tire cleanup by moving of funds from Supervisor Salary A1220:1 to Garage Contractual A5132.4, once the invoice is received. The $13,000 remaining is enough to cover 73 tons of tires. Resolution ____ of 2022: The Town of Denmark Board adopts the Policy that all tire casing’s that are unable to be capped or tires that are removed from equipment due to damage or wear will be disposed of at the time of replacement or rejection. Fees associated with disposal will be invoiced at the time of replacement/rejection Page 2 of 3 Town of Denmark Town Board Meeting April 18, 2022 as a cost of doing business, if the vendor won’t take the tires, the Highway Department will take them to Lewis County Transfer Station for disposal. G. Old Business a. Building Doors update, Update Quotes Resolution _____ Of 2022: The Town of Denmark Town Board does hereby resolve to allow Supervisor Scott Doyle to sign quote # 438348 from B.R. Johnson, LLC in the amount of $22,271.67 to replace the entry frame, hardware and exterior doors with auto operated doors and to replace the door and frames of interior doors including the Court Clerk’s office door, the Town Clerk’s office door, the DCO office door, and lower-level elevator door. The Town Board further directs that the funds to pay for this project be drawn from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds received from the federal government. b. Additional Quote: Court Clerk Office Door (solid core door, Bullet Proof Glass with Pass Through, secondary exit through clerk’s office) c. Technology Upgrade Update – Councilman Wadsworth d. Ethics Board Policy Adoption e. Marie Makuch Complaint f. Verizon Jetpack did not work for Supervisor Doyle and has been returned, no cost to Town H.New Business a. Building Siding and Exterior Repairs b. Parking Lot Marking c. Proposal for Engineering of Front ADA Compliant (heated) Walk and Railing Resolution _____ Of 2022: The Town of Denmark Town Board hereby authorizes Supervisor Scott Doyle to sign the Proposal for Engineering Design and Bidding Services with Barton & Loguidice, dated April 15, 2022, in the amount of $17,000.00 for Engineering Design and Bidding Services for a project to create an ADA Accessible entrance on the upper level of the municipal building located at 3707 Roberts Road, and the Town Board further directs that the money to pay for this service from Barton & Loguidice be drawn from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds received from the federal government. d. Town of Denmark Grounds Maintenance & Clean up e. DanForth Service Agreement Resolution _____ Of 2022: The Town of Denmark Town Board does hereby resolve to allow Supervisor Scott Doyle to sign an agreement with the John W. Danforth Company (Danforth Silver Protection) for $2,193.00 for 1 year of system maintenance of the existing boiler system including two (2) Model 78 Series 1 Well McLain boilers, a VSA1BD4M1SN24K Nortex split system, and a WA1360BJINA Rheem split system. The Town Board further directs that the funds to pay for this agreement be drawn from budget code A5132.4. f. Salt Storage Structure Discussion Resolution ____ Of 2022: The Town of Denmark Town Board hereby authorizes Supervisor Scott Doyle to discuss funding options for a salt storage structure with the Northern Boarder Regional Commission. g.
