Those desiring to comment will have three minutes to do so, and may be granted additional time if the Board agrees. The Board will take
no action on Public comment topics not already on the agenda.
4. Consent Agenda:
a. Minutes for previous meetings.
5. Review and take appropriate action on the new Medina Valley Youth Baseball Contract.
6. Discussion and take appropriate action to respectfully request letters of support for all the new
improvements at Lion’s Field, and for a new Castroville Parks and Recreation Community Building,
from; Medina County Judge Chris Schuchart, Medina County Precinct 2 Commissioner, Larry Sittre,
and others to be selected.
7. Update from Parks Director on current Capital Improvement Projects (CIP):
a. Discussion and appropriate action on Lions Park projects.
1. Water recycling and filtration system for splash pad.
b. Discussion on Regional Park projects.
c. Discussion on September Square projects
8. Update from Parks Director on current ongoing Park Projects:
a. Discussion and take appropriate action on summer Swimming Pool Programs.
b. Discussion and take appropriate action on establishing a One-Way traffic flow pattern during
large Special Events including a one-way entrance and exist.
c. Discussion and take appropriate action on a Grant proposal to replace damaged
Swimming Pool Buildings with a Regional Park Community Center.
d. Discussion and appropriate action on “Dark Sky Lighting”.
9. Update from Parks Director on new Park Projects:
a. Allow rentable equipment at the park’s office with a deposit and fee.
b. Review and take appropriate action on options to improve sites in the RV Park Recommendation.

10. Update from Friends of Regional Park:
a. Review Memorandum of Understanding between The City of Castroville, The Friends of Castroville
Regional Park, and The Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance, for all to cooperate in the design,
construction, and maintenance of the Constructed Wetland section of the Mary Irish Botanical
Garden Trail.
b. Proposal to evaluate current conditions, make recommendations on re-routing trails, and annual
maintenance guidelines for the Backcountry Hiking Trails by Eischen's General Contracting, LLC
c. Review plans to repair to the Scout Bridge, and Barrow’s Bridge
d. Volunteer Workdays.
11. Items for future agendas.
