CASTROVILLE PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD REGULAR CALLED MEETING City Hall Council Chambers 1209 Fiorella Castroville, Texas April 19, 2023 Wednesday 6:00 p.m. I. Call to order II. Roll Call III. Citizen’s comments Those desiring to comment will have three minutes to do so, and may be granted additional time if the Board agrees. The Board will take no action on Public comment topics not already on the agenda. IV. Consent Agenda: a. Minutes for previous meetings. V. Update from Parks Director Devin Fredrickson with discussion and appropriate action on Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) and new projects for all parks. a. Community Services Building construction. b. Pool c. Lion’s Park open date, Splash Pad Water Conservation, parking lot, new sports field, and sport lighting. VI. Discussion and appropriate action on options for the old restroom next to the Amphitheater. a. Concept plans for new restroom, new playground equipment and parking next to the Amphitheater. b. Leave building in place and upgrade to ADA Specifications. c. Demolish and retain flagstone exterior for other uses. d. Demolish the entire structure. e. Leave structure as is. VII. Discussion and appropriate action Pickleball Courts at Regional Park. VIII. Discussion and appropriate action on new directional signs to Regional Park from Highway 90 and City Streets. IX. Discussion and appropriate action on updated Appendix A Implementation and Budgetary Guide Summary for Capital Improvement Projects for 2024. X. Update from Friends of Regional Park on: a.
