MINUTES OF THE CENTENNIAL CITY COUNCIL Regular City Council Meeting 7:00 PM Monday, March 15, 2021 A Regular Meeting of the City Council was held on this date virtually in Centennial, Colorado. A full and timely notice of this meeting had been posted and a quorum was present. 1 Call to Order Mayor Piko called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM. 2 Roll Call Those present were: Mayor Piko Council Member Maurer Council Member Sutherland Council Member Holt Council Member Alston Council Member Turley Council Member Sheehan Those absent were: Council Member Moon, excused Council Member Sweetland, excused Also present were: Matt Sturgeon, City Manager Robert Widner, City Attorney Elisha Thompson, Deputy City Manager Eric Eddy, Assistant City Manager Ryan Thompson, Neighborhood Services Manager Allison Wittern, Director of Communications Jeff Dankenbring, Public Works Director Art Negretti, Engineering Manager Public Works Barbara Setterlind, City Clerk Christina Cooney, Deputy City Clerk 3 Pledge of Allegiance Mayor Piko Led the Pledge of Allegiance. 4 Public Comment; 7:07 PM Nancy Cronan, 6030 S. Diana Whye, Centennial Rotary, accepted the proclamation. CONSENT AGENDA Council Member Turley moved to Approve CONSENT AGENDA. Council Member Alston seconded the motion. Paul Shoukas, PCS Group representing the applicant, and Otto Aichinger, Applicant, presented. Mayor Piko opened the Public Hearing. Jim Type, No address provided, gave comments in opposition. Andrea Suhaka, 6864 S. Ulster Circle, gave comments in opposition. Nancy Cronan, 6030 S. Southwood Drive, gave comments in opposition. Jane Matila, 6590 S. Mills Way, gave concerns on height of building. Mayor Piko closed the public hearing. Council Member Turley moved to Approve ORDINANCE 2021-O-03 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTENNIAL, COLORADO, REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF EAST ORCHARD ROAD AND SOUTH GRANT STREET FROM NEIGHBORHOOD CONSERVATION, 18,000 SF MINIMUM (NC18) AND NEIGHBORHOOD CONSERVATION, 6,000 SF MINIMUM (NC6) TO PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) UNDER THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, AND AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP. Council Member Sheehan seconded the motion. SITE-20-00013 Council Member Turley moved to Approve RESOLUTION 2021-R-08 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF CENTENNIAL, COLORADO, RATIFYING THE APPROVAL OF THE GALLUP’S GARDENS SITE PLAN, CASE NO. SITE-20-00013 (Campbell). Council Member Sheehan seconded the motion. With Mayor Piko, Council Member Turley, Council Member Alston, Council Member Maurer, Council Member Sheehan, Council Member Sweetland, Council Member Holt voting AYE, and Council Member Moon, Council Member Sutherland voting NAY; Absent: 0.
