MINUTES OF THE CENTENNIAL CITY COUNCIL Regular City Council Meeting 6:30 PM Monday, June 1, 2020 A Regular Meeting of the City Council was held on this date virtually in, Centennial, Colorado. Mayor Piko requested a moment of silence for George Floyd, our communities, and businesses. Council Member Sutherland moved to Approve ORDINANCE NO. 2020-O-02, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTENNIAL, COLORADO, REPEALING ARTICLE 1 OF CHAPTER 8 OF THE CENTENNIAL MUNICIPAL CODE AND ADOPTING A NEW ARTICLE 1 OF CHAPTER 8 OF THE CENTENNIAL MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED MODEL TRAFFIC CODE CONCERNING THE ADOPTION OF THE 2020 EDITION OF THE MODEL TRAFFIC CODE AND ADOPTING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE SAME. Council Member Maurer seconded the motion. Council Member Turley seconded the motion. Council Member Sutherland moved to Approve RESOLUTION NO. 2020-R-29, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTENNIAL, COLORADO AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CREATE PROGRAMS TO DISBURSE UP TO $5,000,000 TO ASSIST CITY BUSINESSES WITH COVID-19 RELATED COSTS. Council Member Moon seconded the motion. THE MOTION Passed. Mayor Piko requested that staff confirm the monies from the Cares Act funding can be allocated to the revolving loan fund.
