MINUTES OF THE CENTENNIAL CITY COUNCIL Regular City Council Meeting 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 8, 2020 A Regular Meeting of the City Council was held on this date virtually in Centennial, Colorado. A full and timely notice of this meeting had been posted and a quorum was present. 1 Call to Order Mayo Piko called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. 2 Roll Call Those present were: Mayor Piko Council Member Moon Council Member Sweetland Council Member Maurer Council Member Sutherland Council Member Holt Council Member Sheehan Council Member Turley Those absent were: Council Member Alston, excused Also present were: Matthew Sturgeon, City Manager Elisha Thomas, Deputy City Manager Bob Widner, City Attorney Allison Wittern, Director of Communications Linda Gregory, Deputy Finance Director Eric Eddy, Director of Strategic Initiatives Jenny Houlne, Principal Planner Barbara Setterlind, City Clerk Christina Cooney, Deputy City Clerk 3 Pledge of Allegiance Mayor Piko Led the Pledge of Allegiance. 4 Public Comment; 7:03 PM Ken Saindon, 16052 E Aberdeen Avenue Centennial, CO 80016, requested council rescind the mask mandate and to provide more communication on COVID-19 to the community. Auditors Matthew Marino, Chris Dause and Stephanie Simon of RubinBrown LLP and Audit Committee Member, Tom Gross, presented. b Update from Emergency Services and Law Enforcement; 8:04 PM Sheriff Brown and Chief Thompson of ACSO gave an update. Due to technical difficulties, Chief Rhodes of SMFD was unable to give a verbal update but provided his report to the City Clerk. 6 Consideration of Communications, Proclamations and Appointments a PROCLAMATION NO. 2020-P-06 A PROCLAMATION OF THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF CENTENNIAL, COLORADO PROCLAIMING SEPTEMBER 17 THROUGH 23, 2020, AS CONSTITUTION WEEK IN THE CITY OF CENTENNIAL Mayor Piko read Proclamation No. 2020-P-06 into the record. CONSENT AGENDA Council Member Sutherland moved to Approve CONSENT AGENDA. Council Member Maurer seconded the motion. With Mayor Piko, Council Member Moon, Council Member Turley, Council Member Maurer, Council Member Sutherland, Council Member Sheehan, Council Member Sweetland, Council Member Holt voting AYE, and (None) voting NAY; Absent: 1.
