September 14, 2015 City Council Dinner - 5:00 P.M. Special Meeting: Budget Workshop - 6:00 P.M. Community Room 7272 S. Eagle Street Centennial, Colorado 80112 www.centennialcolorado.com 6:00 PM Monday, September 14, 2015 A Special Meeting of the City Council was held on this at 7272 E. Eagle Street, Centennial, Colorado. A full and timely notice of this meeting had been posted and a quorum was present. 1. Call to Order Mayor Noon called the meeting to order at 6:05 P.M. 2. Budget Workshop John Danielson, City Manager, and Dawn Priday, Director of Finance, presented. John Danielson presented the following decision packages: Election Officials/General Fund Centennial Airport Community Noise Roundtable Contribution: consensus to approve - 9 Ayes, 0 Nays. Mobile App Development with Matching Grant: consensus to approve - 9 Ayes, 0 Nays Sheri Chadwick, Director of Communications, answered questions from Council. Economic Development Specialist Position: consensus to approve - 9 Ayes, 0 Nays Public Works/General Fund Wayne Reed, Deputy City Manager, presented. Traffic Signals: consensus to approve – 9 Ayes, 0 Nays Roadside Improvements: consensus to approve – 8 Ayes, 1 Nay (Noon) Median Maintenance Program: consensus to approve – 9 Ayes, 0 Nays Roadside Maintenance Program: consensus to approve – 9 Ayes, 0 Nays Facilities/Fleet/General Fund Wayne Reed, Deputy City Manager, presented. Repair and Maintenance Grounds: consensus to approve – 9 Ayes, 0 Nays Land Improvements, Landscaping at Eagle Street Facility: consensus to not approve – 3 Ayes, 6 Nays (Gardner, Noon, Lucas, Gotto, Piko, and Whelan) Capital Outlay – Vehicle: consensus to approve – 9 Ayes, 0 Nays Law Enforcement/General Fund Contract Sheriff’s Services: consensus to approve – 9 Ayes, 0 Nays The meeting was recessed at 7:15 PM and reconvened at 7:30 P.M. Travis Greiman, Director of Public Works, presented the Capital Improvement Fund decision packages. Consensus was to approve as presented – 9 Ayes, 0 Nays. Agenda – Special Meeting September 15, 2014 Page 3 Andy Firestine, Director of Community Development, presented the Open Space Fund and Conservation Trust Fund decision packages. Consensus was to approve as presented – 9 Ayes, 0 Nays. Guthrie Schaffer, Budget Committee Member, gave a brief report on behalf of the Budget Committee. Dawn Priday discussed the overall fund balances for 2015 and 2016. 5. Adjourn There being no further business to discuss, the Special Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 PM.
