MINUTES OF THE CENTENNIAL CITY COUNCIL Special Meeting 6:00 PM Monday, December 7, 2020 A Special Meeting of the City Council was held on this date virtually in Centennial, Colorado. A full and timely notice of this meeting had been posted and a quorum was present. 1 Call to Order Mayor Piko called the meeting to order at 6:02 PM. 2 Roll Call Those present were: Mayor Piko Council Member Moon Council Member Sweetland Council Member Maurer Council Member Sutherland Council Member Holt Council Member Alston Council Member Turley Council Member Sheehan Those absent were: None Also present were: Elisha Thomas, Deputy City Manager Robert Widner, City Attorney Maureen Juran, Deputy City Attorney Jennifer Madsen, Assistant City Attorney Eric Eddy, Assistant City Manager Allison Wittern, Director of Communications Jenna Campbell, Planner II Doug Farmen, Director of Finance Linda Gregory, Deputy Finance Director Steve Greer, Director of Community Development Barbara Setterlind, City Clerk Christina Cooney, Deputy City Clerk 3 Executive Session Pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(b) to Receive Legal Advice Regarding the Scope and Purpose of Local Regulations to Implement State Legislative Authority Granted and State Legislative Actions Taken During the Recent Extraordinary Special Session; 6:04 PM Council Member Sutherland moved to Approve Executive Session Pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6- 402(4)(b) to Receive Legal Advice Regarding the Scope and Purpose of Local Regulations to Implement State Legislative Authority Granted and State Legislative Actions Taken During the Recent Extraordinary Special Session. Council Member Alston seconded the motion. Minutes – Special Meeting 12/7/2020 6:00:00 PM Page 2 With Mayor Piko, Council Member Alston, Council Member Holt, Council Member Maurer, Council Member Moon, Council Member Sheehan, Council Member Sutherland, Council Member Sweetland, Council Member Turley voting AYE, and (None) voting NAY; THE MOTION Passed. 4 Other Matters That May Come Before Council; 6:55 PM Council Member Sweetland asked to bring forward an ordinance to place a temporary cap on third-party delivery services to restaurants during the pandemic. Consensus was to place an Ordinance under Consideration of Ordinances for 1st reading during the Regular Council Meeting agenda following this meeting. 5 Adjourn There being no further business to discuss, the Regular Meeting was adjourned at 6:58 PM.
