MINUTES OF THE CENTENNIAL CITY COUNCIL Special Meeting 5:00 PM Tuesday, March 25, 2025 A Regular Meeting of the City Council was held on this date in the Council Chambers at 13133 E. Arapahoe Road, Centennial, Colorado. A full and timely notice of this meeting had been posted and a quorum was present. 1 Call to Order Mayor Piko called the meeting to order at 5:01 PM. 2 Roll Call Those present were: Mayor Piko Council Member Tharp Council Member Sweetland Council Member Maurer Council Member Sutherland Council Member Holt Council Member Alston Council Member Sheehan Those absent were: Council Member Carnes, Excused Also present were Matthew Sturgeon, City Manager Elisha Thomas, Deputy City Manager Christopher Price, City Attorney Christina Lovelace, City Clerk Allie Esch, Deputy City Clerk 3 Discussion Agenda a Memorandum of Understanding for a Ground Lease with Centennial Real Estate Ventures, LLC for a portion of City owned property near the southwest corner of South Blackhawk Street and East Fremont Avenue; 5:02 PM Matt Sturgeon, City Manager, and Christopher Price, City Attorney, presented. Council Member Sutherland moved to Approve the MOU for a ground lease with Centennial Real Estate Ventures, LLC as presented tonight and authorize the Mayor to execute the agreement. With Mayor Piko, Council Member Alston, Council Member Holt, Council Member Maurer, Council Member Sheehan, Council Member Sutherland, Council Member Sweetland, Council Minutes – Special Meeting 3/25/2025 5:00:00 PM Page 2 Member Tharp voting AYE, and (None) voting NAY; Abstain: 0; Absent: 1. THE MOTION Passed. b Memorandum of Understanding for a Ground Lease with Cherry Creek School District for a portion of City owned property at the southeast corner of South Potomac Street and East Fremont Avenue; 5:32 PM Council Member Sutherland moved to Approve the MOU for a ground lease with the Cherry Creek School District as presented tonight and authorize the Mayor to execute the agreement. With Mayor Piko, Council Member Alston, Council Member Holt, Council Member Maurer, Council Member Sheehan, Council Member Sutherland, Council Member Sweetland, Council Member Tharp voting AYE, and (None) voting NAY; Abstain: 0; Absent: 1. THE MOTION Passed. 4 Consideration of Other Items 5 Adjourn There being no further business to discuss, the Regular Meeting was adjourned at 5:33 PM.
