MINUTES OF THE CENTENNIAL CITY COUNCIL Study Session 6:00 PM Monday, November 21, 2011 A Study Session of the City Council was held on this date in the City Council Chambers at 13133 E. Arapahoe Road, Centennial, Colorado. A full and timely notice of this meeting had been posted and a quorum was present. A. Call to Order Mayor Noon called the meeting to order at 6:01 PM. B. Roll Call Those present were: Mayor Noon Council Member Dindinger Council Member Gardner Council Member Bosier Council Member McClellan Council Member Anderson Council Member Miller Council Member Weidmann Council Member Moon Those absent were: None Also present were: Stephanie Piko, Council Member Elect Ken Lucas, Council Member Elect Dave Zelenok, Interim City Manager Bob Widner, City Attorney Marie White, Director of Human Resources Don Wright, Support Services Manager Brenda Madison, City Clerk Barbara Setterlind, Deputy City Clerk C. City Manager Recruitment Report; 6:02 PM Marie White, Director of Human Resources, presented. Bob Widner, City Attorney, answered questions from Council. Other Business; 7:33 PM Mayor Noon stated there was a CML Executive Board vacancy. Information was distributed in the Monday folder. Council Member Moon expressed interest in applying. Council Member Weidmann nominated Council Member Moon for the position. Council Member McClellan seconded the nomination. Consensus was to support Council Member Moon's application for the vacancy. Mayor Noon asked for consensus for Senior Staff to brief the new Council Members on confidential information that has been discussed previously in Executive Sessions. Bob Widner, City Attorney, stated the new members would have to sign confidentiality agreements prior to discussions. Consensus was for staff to provide the briefing. Dave Zelenok, Interim City Manager, discussed the upcoming orientation schedule for the new and sitting Council Members. Mayor Noon discussed the schedule and outline for the Strategic Planning Workshops in January. Council Members Bosier, Weidmann, Moon and Mayor Noon volunteered to form a sub- committee for planning the workshop. Mayor Noon discussed the Council appointments for other Boards and Commissions. She stated there was an updated list in the Monday folder and asked for input for next year’s appointments. Dave Zelenok, City Manager, made a brief report. E. Adjourn There being no further business to discuss, the Study Session was adjourned at 7:52 PM.
