MINUTES OF THE CENTENNIAL CITY COUNCIL Study Session 6:00 PM Monday, January 23, 2012 A Study Session of the City Council was held on this date in the City Council Chambers at 13133 E. Arapahoe Road, Centennial, Colorado. A full and timely notice of this meeting had been posted and a quorum was present. A. Call to Order Mayor Noon called the meeting to order at 6:03 PM. B. Parker Jordan Centennial Open Space - Cherry Creek Channel Construction - Update; 6:04 PM Edward Stafford, Deputy Director of Public Works, made opening statements. Dan Shelton, Parker-Jordan Metro District, presented. Norm Shelton, President of the Parker-Jordan Metro District, made a brief statement. Solution to Agriculture as a Limited Use in the NC and NI Zoning Districts and Section 0-2-420 (Agriculture) in the LDC - Briefing/Discussion; 6:43 PM Wayne Reed, Deputy City Manager/Director of Community Development, made a brief introduction. Rita McConnell, Deputy Director of Community Development and Andy Firestine, Principal Planner, presented. The meeting was recessed at 7:26 PM for the Regular Meeting and reconvened at 9:14 PM. E. Peoria & Peakview Reconstruction and Intersection Improvements - Briefing/Discussion; 9:15 PM Travis Greiman, Public Works Project Programmer, presented. F. Executive Session a. Executive Session Pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(b) and (e) to Receive Legal Advice and Devise Negotiation Strategy and Instruct Negotiators Concerning the Operation and Management of City Owned Open Space Council Member Moon moved TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO C.R.S §24-6-402(4)(b) TO RECEIVE LEGAL ADVICE AND DEVISE NEGOTIATION STRATEGY AND INSTRUCT NEGOTIATORS CONCERNING THE OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT OF CITY OWNED OPEN SPACE. Council Member Bosier seconded the motion. With Mayor Noon, Council Member Gardner, Council Member Bosier, Council Member McClellan, Council Member Lucas, Council Member Piko, Council Member Weidmann, Council Member Moon voting AYE, and (None) voting NAY; Absent: 1.
