MINUTES OF THE CENTENNIAL CITY COUNCIL Study Session 6:00 PM Monday, April 21, 2014 The Budget Workshop of the City Council was held on this date in the Community Room at 7272 S. Eagle Street, Centennial, CO. A full and timely notice of this meeting had been posted and a quorum was present. A. Call to Order Mayor Noon called the meeting to order at 6:02 PM. B. Roll Call Those present were: Mayor Noon Council Member Turley Council Member Gardner Council Member Moon Council Member Piko Council Member Lucas Council Member Truhlar, (left meeting at 6:45 PM) Council Member Gotto Council Member Whelan Those absent were: None Also present were: John Danielson, City Manager Bob Widner, City Attorney Dawn Priday, Director of Finance Jon Whiting, Management Analyst Eric Eddy, Senior Management Analyst Elisha Thomas, Assistant City Manager Amanda Fladland, Senior Accountant James Albee, Budget Committee Member Guthrie Shaffer, Budget Committee Member Wayne Reed, Deputy City Manager Dave Zelenok, Chief Innovation Officer Paula Gibson, Director of Human Resources Marianne Schilling, Management Analyst Michael Terry, Public Works – CIP Engineer Craig Faessler, Public Works – Program Director Jeff Brasel, Deputy Director of Community Development Joe Stafford, Animal Services Manager Sheri Chadwick, Director of Communications Andy Firestine, Deputy Director of Community Development Louie Perea, Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department Glen Thompson, Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department David Walcher, Arapahoe County Sheriff Olga Fujaros, Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department Liz Dunaway, Contract Administrator Minutes – Study Session April 21, 2014 Page 2 Derek Stertz, Senior GIS Analyst Pat Brown, Revenue Manager Corri Spiegel, Economic Development Manager Kelly Ohaver, Client Experience Manager Daniel Hutton, Management Analyst Kimber Liss, Court Administrator Matt Creaghe, Animal Services Team Leader Travis Greiman, Engineering Manager Jill Hassman, Assistant City Attorney Andrea Suhaka, Citizen Jody Alioto, Executive Assistant Kevin Holleman, Greystone Tech Support Carla Coburn, IT Manager Barbara Setterlind, Deputy City Clerk Brenda Madison, City Clerk C. Budget Workshop; 6:05 PM John Danielson, City Manager, gave a brief introduction. Dawn Priday, Director of Finance, gave a brief overview of the Budget process. Eric Eddy, Senior Management Analyst discussed the activity for ranking of discussion of projects. Mr. Danielson led an exercise ranking discussion of the priority projects. The meeting was recessed at 6:45 PM and reconvened at 6:55 PM. Council Member Truhlar left the meeting at 6:45 PM. Mr. Danielson continued to lead the discussion of Council priority projects. Sheriff Dave Walcher discussed the School Resource Officer Program and requested funding for additional School Resource Officers. He also discussed funding of additional Canine and Internet Crime Officers. Council Members continued discussing the priority projects. D.
