The City of Chandler Parks and Recreation Board met for a regular scheduled meeting
on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Chandler City Hall. Rick Ford, Park Board Chairman
called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. The invocation was given by Cody Seale.
Members Present:

Paul Pelton
Shirley Parmer, City Secretary
Sheila Haskins, Admin. Secretary
Jim Moffeit, City Administrator
John Taylor, Asst. City Admin/City Planner
Absent:
Earl Wilmeth
Item 1: Jim Moffeit and John Taylor updated the board members on future park
projects.
1. Horseshoes area for the public and tournament competition
2. Disc golf course
3. Neches River Clean-up scheduled at River Park on April 22, 2012
4. Possible future River Park improvements and grant status
5. Status on possible future baseball field grant
6. Status on the moving of the Ralph Yarborough home to McCain Park
7. Littering issues at Winchester Park were discussed.
Meeting was adjourned at 12:55 p.m.

E. VISITORS/CITIZENS FORUM: The Public may comment on any matter or concern
regarding the Parks and Recreation Board. Limited to the first five to sign up, each will be
allowed 5 minutes. No formal action or discussion will be taken at this time.
F. REGULAR SESSION: Subjects to be discussed or upon which any formal action may be
taken are as follows:
1. Inform and discuss ongoing and upcoming projects at Winchester and McCain
Parks.
G. ADJOURNMENT;

SHOULD CONTACT CITY HALL AT 903 849-6853 AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE
MEETING.

accessible to the general public at all times, and said notice was posted on the following date and
