The City of Chandler Parks and Recreation Board met for a regular scheduled meeting
on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Chandler City Hall. Rick Ford, Park Board Chairman
called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. The invocation was given by Cody Seale.
Members Present: Rick Ford, Cody Seale, Jeff Wood, David Maronge, Ann Hall, Kari
Bersano Absent: Paul Pelton
Staff Present: Shirley Parmer, City Secretary, Jim Moffeit, EDC Executive Director,
John Taylor, City Administrator
Visitor: Chad Wilson
Item 1. Ann Hall made a motion to table the BMC Concession Agreement until we could
meet with the BMC Board. Cody Seale seconded the motion. Motion carried
unanimously.
Item 2. Ann Hall made a motion to charge a flat fee of $1,500.00 for the fall ball season.
Kari Bersano seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Item 3. Jeff Wood made a motion to charge $25.00 an hour for non BMC teams to
practice on the fields at Winchester Park, and $35.00 an hour if lights are needed
effective immediately. Cody Seale seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Item 4. Rick Ford and Jim Moffeit updated the board on the following upcoming and
ongoing projects at River Park, and Winchester Park.
1. Lights at the Horseshoes area
2. Plans for a future pavilion located near field 5 that will have concession
and restrooms.
3. Texas Parks & Wildlife Grant at the Neches River and future plans for
that area.
4. Stocking of fish at the Winchester Park Lake
Meeting was adjourned at 1:20p.m.

D. AGENDA CHANGES
E. VISITORS/CITIZENS FORUM: The Public may comment on any matter or concern
regarding the Parks and Recreation Board. Limited to the first five to sign up, each will be
allowed 5 minutes. No formal action or discussion will be taken at this time.
F. REGULAR SESSION: Subjects to be discussed or upon which any formal action may be
taken are as follows:
1. Review and recommend any changes if needed to the BMC Concession Agreement.
2. Consider and recommend fees for BMC Fall Ball.
3. Consider and recommend possible fees for non BMC team’s use of field.
4. Update Board on upcoming and ongoing projects at River Park, McCain Park, and
Winchester Park.

bulletin board, at the City Hall of the City of Chandler, Texas a place convenient and readily
accessible to the general public at all times, and said notice was posted on the following date and
time:
August 1, 2013 at 4:00pm and remained so posted at least 2 hours before said meeting was
convened.
