Board of Adjustment Meeting Minutes February 7, 2019
A motion was made by Tetteh, seconded by Hatley, to adopt Resolution B, a
resolution to deny the Resource Conservation District Variance request, with
the Chair's summary. The Chair provided a summary of the facts, including
that Michael Isola, applicant, gave testimony to the design of the house,
construction, and architectural details. The Board asked questions about the
nature of the Resource Conservation District, floodplain, and the lot
characteristics. Members of the public spoke to the four findings of fact
needed for a variance. Isola then testified that he was willing to change the
proposal to mitigate impacts. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 9 - Chair Bartow, Vice-Chair Godfrey, Daquioag, Fox, Hatley,
Lyons, Murphy, Parrish, and Tetteh
Nay: 1 - Schuler
3. Board Priorities [19-0124]
The Board discussed priorities for 2019. Without objection, the Board agreed
that Staff will relay the discussed priorities to Town Council, and the official
priorities will be summarized by Staff and presented and adopted at the
Board's next meeting.
