Planning Commission Action Minutes December 1, 2020
A motion was made by Bench, seconded by McCullough, that the minutes be
approved. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 9 - Chair Michael Everhart, Vice-Chair James Baxter, Neal
Bench, Elizabeth Losos, Melissa McCullough, John Rees,
Louie Rivers, Elizabeth Webber, and Stephen Whitlow
New Business
Impromptu discussion of S Columbia St Annex [20-0841]
Webber asked if the Planning Commission intended to send a representative
to the December 9, 2020 Town Council Meeting to discuss the Commission's
opinion on the S Columbia St Annex agenda item.
A motion was made by Bench, seconded by Rees, to authorize Webber and
McCullough to draft a letter of response and present it to the Town Council on
December 9th. McCullough made a friendly amendment to include Whitlow,
the Housing Advisory Board Champion. Bench accepted this amendment and
revised the motion language to add Whitlow to the drafting committee and
Baxter as representative to Council. The motion passed by the following vote:
Aye: 8 - Chair Michael Everhart, Vice-Chair James Baxter, Neal
Bench, Melissa McCullough, John Rees, Louie Rivers,
Elizabeth Webber, and Stephen Whitlow
Abstain: 1 - Elizabeth Losos
3. Climate Action and Response Plan Discussion [20-0839]
A discussion was held on the Climate Action and Response Plan, and
feedback was provided to Town Staff member John Richardson.
A motion was made by Bench, seconded by Rees, to create a Climate Action
Subcommittee. McCullough made a friendly amendment to name Rees,
McCullough, Losos, Rivers, and Whitlow as members of the subcommittee.
Bench accepted the amendment. The motion passed by the following vote:

Bench, Elizabeth Losos, Melissa McCullough, John Rees,
Louie Rivers, Elizabeth Webber, and Stephen Whitlow

A motion was made by Rees to adjourn the meeting, seconded by McCullough.
