Call to Order Chairperson Rollo Saucier called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. 1. Pledge of Allegiance 2. Roll Call Present: Peggy Windisch; Craig Olson; Rollo Saucier; Joe Smith, Carl Try and Lisa Smith Absent: No one Others Present: Dustin Patterson and Dan Holden 3. Public Comments There were no Public Comments during this meeting. B. Consent Agenda 1. Minutes from the PPRC meeting on September 9, 2024 A motion was made by Lisa Smith to approve the meeting minutes from the September 9, 2024 meeting. This motion was seconded by Peggy Windisch. By an affirmative voice vote of the members present, the motion passed. C. Old Business 1. Current/proposed park maintenance projects -Village staff is busy working on snow removal as not much is done with the parks with winter weather -Equipment clean up and repair is ongoing during the winter months 2. Dog Park Update -Dog park shelters are up. There is only a little more work to do to finish the shelter project 3. Chatham Pickleball Complex Update -Currently, not much activity at the Pickleball Courts. Lots of snow. Will get busy as the weather improves D. New Business 1. Parks Department Park Update plans -Dustin noted that the budget for the next fiscal year is just getting started. More updates at future meetings. Will be a little tighter without ARPA money. -Rollo gave an update on the recently completed Light up the Park. Attendance was down just a bit but picked up at the end. The Bicycle Night and Walking Night were big hits. Will continue next year but will need to plan for good sized crowds. Chatham was part of the Twinkle Lights Tour this year. One of 12 locations in Central Illinois. -Joe Smith inquired about what can be done regarding drainage between the football fields at Community Park. Dustin Patterson will inquire with Jim Michael, the Village Engineer to see what can be done. -Dustin Patterson noted that parking will be a problem in the future at Community Park as CCFL, Soccer and Pickleball will all be utilizing parking at various times. Could be issues on fall weekends when there will be lots of activities in the park -Dustin Patterson also noted that the Concession Shed at Community Park has money still available for repairs and touch ups. More information to come in future meetings. E. Meeting Dates 1. Public Properties & Recreation Commission Meeting Municipal Hall March 10, 6:00 PM 2024 F. Closed Session There was no need for a Closed Session. There was no need for Closed Session during this meeting. G. Closing 1. Adjournment Page 3 of 4 A motion was made by Joe Smith to adjourn the meeting. This motion was seconded by Peggy Windisch.
