-Village staff is busy working on snow removal as not much is done with the parks with winter
weather

2. Dog Park Update
-Dog park shelters are up. There is only a little more work to do to finish the shelter project
3. Chatham Pickleball Complex Update
-Currently, not much activity at the Pickleball Courts. Lots of snow. Will get busy as the
weather improves
D. New Business
1. Parks Department Park Update plans
-Dustin noted that the budget for the next fiscal year is just getting started. More updates at
future meetings. Will be a little tighter without ARPA money.
-Rollo gave an update on the recently completed Light up the Park. Attendance was down just
a bit but picked up at the end. The Bicycle Night and Walking Night were big hits. Will continue
next year but will need to plan for good sized crowds. Chatham was part of the Twinkle Lights
Tour this year. One of 12 locations in Central Illinois.
-Joe Smith inquired about what can be done regarding drainage between the football fields at
Community Park. Dustin Patterson will inquire with Jim Michael, the Village Engineer to see
what can be done.
-Dustin Patterson noted that parking will be a problem in the future at Community Park as
CCFL, Soccer and Pickleball will all be utilizing parking at various times. Could be issues on fall
weekends when there will be lots of activities in the park
-Dustin Patterson also noted that the Concession Shed at Community Park has money still
available for repairs and touch ups. More information to come in future meetings.
