Minutes CITY OF CHEROKEE VILLAGE, ARKANSAS SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING Tuesday, November 7, 2023, 6: 00 P. M., CHEROKEE VILLAGE CITY HALL CALL TO ORDER— Mayor Rose call the Special Council Meeting to order at 6 PM. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE— Mayor Rose lead the Pledged of Allegiance. MOMENT OF SILENCE— A moment of silence was observed. ROLL CALL, ESTABLISH QUORUM— HEATHER HARRISON_ P_, RACHEL TATUM_ P_, STEVE THOMPSON_ P_, PETER MARTIN_ P_, ROB SMITH_ V_, EDDIE ISHMAEL_ P_, JEFF TATUM_ P , PAMELA ROWLAND_ V_, MAYOR ROSE_ P_, JON ABELE CITY ATTORNEY , CLERK PENNY TRUMPY_ P_, AGENDA- SOLAR ECLIPSE FESTIVAL 2024 Council Member Martin motioned to accept the Short Term Special Use Permit Application from Jonathan Rhodes on behalf of Cherokee Village Advertising& Promotion Commission with the removal of: NOTE: For the Festival, CV A& P will need CV Police presence and A& P will coordinate closely with Police, Fire& EMT" S re- emergency response plan that will be developed for this event. We will also request the City to close a portion of Santee Drive from Saturday afternoon through Monday. Seconded by Council Member J. Tatum. Roll call vote: R Tatum yes, Thompson yes, Martin yes, Smith yes, Ishmael yes, J Tatum yes, Rowland yes, Harrison Abstained. 7 yes 1 Abstained Motion passed. Mayor Rose announced there would be NO WORKING MEETING ON MONDAY 11/ 13/ 2023.
