Review the updated Limits of Authority, reach a consensus with the goal to adopt the updates through a
resolution in the July meeting.

Entered an agreement with Full Service Network for telephone service from Comcast Business, a cost
savings of $2,145/year (excludes a one-time set up fee of $125).

Reminder of the scheduled meeting of the Lower Valley Ambulance Service on June 28th at the Harmar
Municipal Building.
Status update on the merging of Cheswick VFC with Allegheny Valley VFC
Consider the request of AVRPD to enact a nuisance ordinance establishing a sur-tax or fee for excessive
police calls within a 30-day period to the same location.
Action to approve a resolution and agreement as required by Pennsylvania DOT to proceed with the
plan to replace the Traffic signal at Pittsburgh and Highland.
• Motion to approve resolution 2023-9 authorizing and directing the Secretary to submit the
Traffic Signal Maintenance Agreement, to submit future modification to the agreement and
future applications for the signal approval to the Dept. of Transportation and to sign the
agreement on behalf of the Borough.
PUBLIC WORKS – Frank Meledandri, Interim Chair
Discuss the current conversations with Springdale Twp. regarding a water interconnection with the
Borough of Cheswick
Discuss the current conversation with Springdale Twp. regarding a mutual assistance agreement on
Winter Maintenance.
Review and retro actively approve the Amendment to Articles of Agreement between the Borough and
Cargill to extend the requirement to purchase a minimum of 80% of forecasted quotas from 6/30/23 to
12/31/23 due to the unusually mild winter.
• Motion to approve the Amendment to Articles of Agreement between the Borough and Cargill
Salt Division to purchase and take delivery of the balance of our minimum 80% purchase
requirement between July 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023.

Discuss appropriate protocol for addressing complaints with the zoning officer.

Proposal from Cohen Law Group to perform Cable Franchise Renewal Services with flat fee of $6,320 if
all six municipalities approve the proposal. Council motioned to enter into such agreement if the fee
does not exceed $8K in the 4/18/23 Council meeting.
