CHICOPEE CITY COUNCIL FINANCE COMMITTEE APPROVED 9-9-2015 MEMBERS George Moreau, Chairman John Vieau, Vice Chairman Fred Krampits Frank Laflamme James Tillotson William Zaskey Timothy McLellan MINUTES August 10, 2015 The following are the minutes of a public hearing held Monday, August 10, 2015 at 6:30 PM in the City Council Chambers, Fourth Floor, City Hall Annex, 274 Front Street, Chicopee, MA 01013. Members Present Moreau, Vieau, Krampits, Laflamme, Tillotson, Zaskey, McLellan (arrived 6:57) Also Present Daniel Garvey (Associate City Solicitor), Councilor Lamontagne, Councilor Brooks, Councilor Zygarowski, Councilor Roy (At-Large) , Marshall Moriarty (City Solicitor), Thomas Rooke (Associate City Solicitor), Christine Pikula (Associate City Solicitor), James Donahue ( Assistant City Solicitor), Mark Albano (Associate City Solicitor) The meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM. In compliance with the Open Meeting Law the Chairman asked if anyone in the audience was recording the meeting. Tim Callery from Western Mass News stated that he is recording the meeting. ITEM #1 Minutes – May 4, 2015. Motion made to approve. Motion passed. ITEM #2 Law Department to discuss pending litigation. At this meeting the committee may go into executive session because it may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigation position of the City. Motion made by Councilor Krampits to go into executive session to discuss pending litigation, the discussion of which in open forum, may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining for litigation position for the city and we will not be returning to the regular order of business. Motion passed by a roll call vote. 1 2
