CHICOPEE CITY COUNCIL HUMAN RESOURCE C OMMITTEE APPROVED 3-31-2015 MEMBERS James Tillotson Gary Labrie Gerry Roy Timothy McLellan William Zaskey MINUTES January 13, 2015 The following are the minutes of a public hearing held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 6:15 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Fourth Floor, City Hall Annex, 274 Front Street, 4th floor, Chicopee, MA 01013 Present: Tillotson, Labrie, Zaskey, McLellan Absent: Roy Also Present: Councilor Zygarowski, Councilor Laflamme, Councilor Lamontagne, Daniel Garvey (Associate City Solicitor) Frank Czepiel (Chairman Handicap Commission) Meeting called to order at 6:25 PM In compliance with the Open Meeting Law the Chairman asked if anyone in the audience was recording the meeting. ITEM #1 Mayoral appointment of Tanya Marlow as a member of the Commission for the disabled to serve in such office for the term of 3 years expiring on the 11th of October, 2017. Councilor Tilloston stated that Tanya Marlow was not present and that she was notified by letter on January 5, 2015 to attend tonight’s meeting. Frank Czepiel stated that he spoke to her and she is very interested and she would probably be a good fit but right now I think we’re at our maximum membership. I suggest you table it until next month. Councilor Tillotson suggested we send her a letter to see if she’s really interested in serving on this commission. Motion to table – motion passed. ITEM #2 Minutes – October 14, 2014 were not approved. Meeting adjourned at 6:28 PM. 1
