Zygarowski Frank Laflamme Timothy McLellan MINUTES June 10, 2014 The following are the minutes of a public hearing held Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 6:30 PM in the City Council Chambers, Fourth Floor, City Hall Annex, 274 Front Street, Chicopee, MA 01013. Members Present: Tillotson, Labrie, Laflamme, Zygarowski, McLellan Also Present: Councilor Lamontagne, Councilor Jerry Roy, Councilor Krampits, Councilor Brooks, Councilor Zaskey, Dan Garvey (Associate City Solicitor), Kate Brown (Planning Director) The meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM. In compliance with the open meeting laws the Chairman asked if anyone in the audience was recording the meeting. ITEM #1 Chapter 275-53 Residential B Section C Dimensional requirement shall be as follows: (2) Waivers, the City Council may waive dimensional requirements upon written request of the applicant for a development, which in the opinion of the City Council, serves to preserve a unique natural area, historical building, or is determined to be compatible with the neighborhood which it is proposed. Motion made to approve by Councilor Laflamme. Committee vote 5 – 0 favorable. ITEM #2 Chapter 260-34 D Obstructing Traffic Meadow Street In front of 5 Meadow Street parking lot DO NOT BLOCK THE BOX 1 Motion made by Councilor Zygarowski and second by Councilor Laflamme to approve. Committee vote 5- 0 favorable. ITEM #3 Isolated Stop Signs and Signal Light Swol Street At the intersection of Swol Street and Simonich Street ISOLATED STOP SIGN Motion made by Councilor Labrie and second by Councilor McLellan to approve. Committee vote 5 – 0 favorable. ITEM #4 Handicap Parking 89 Park Street HANDICAP PARKING The committee has not received a report on this from the Commission on the Disabled. Motion made by Councilor Laflamme and second by Councilor Labrie to table. Motion passed. ITEM #5 Minutes – May 28, 2014. Motion made to approve. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 6:40 PM. 2
