Members Present: Tillotson, Krampits, Dobosz, Labrie, Roy Also Present: Dan Garvey (Associate City Solicitor), Councilor Laflamme, Councilor Zygarowski, Councilor López (zoom), Councilor Pniak-Costello, Councilor Courchesne (zoom), Doug Ellis (City Engineer) The meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM Some of the audio in inaudible In compliance with the open meeting laws the Chairman asked if anyone in the audience was recording the meeting. Hearing none the meeting continued. ITEM #1 Greenwich Street – from the corner of Dorrance Street – Parking Prohibited This Side of Street Councilor Courchesne stated that people park across from the driveway, it’s a small fifty-foot section of street and it’s a dead-end from that corner. Engineer Ellis is going to suggest a change that he feels is less confusing. Doug Ellis suggested the following as stated in his Engineer Review Comments. Roll call Tillotson X Krampits X Dobosz X Labrie X Roy X ITEM #2 Grape Street – From Front Street to a point 40 feet northerly thereof – Parking Prohibited Here to Corner Roll call Councilor Laflamme stated as you come out of Pedro’s parking lot there is a Parking Prohibited sign enough for one car. He stated when they’re exiting the parking lot they block the street when it’s a red light. He wants people to get down the street as well as not block the street. He stated it is a safety issue and he is going off the recommendation of the City Engineer. Councilor Roy motion to approve – Councilor Labrie 2nd the motion – motion passed Roll call Tillotson X Krampits X Dobosz X Labrie X Roy X ITEM #3 Front Street – South side – In front of CEL pole #36X – Parking Prohibited 2 Councilor Zygarowski stated this is a result of many employees in City Hall and constituents as well, complaining they can’t exit City Hall parking lot because vehicles are parked to close to the driveway. He stated chapter 260-17 the law states don’t park within five feet either side of the driveway. He stated we need to put a sign there. The best place to put it on would be the electric light pole 36X. Councilor Laflamme suggested to send to the Chicopee Electric Light to get approval to put it on that pole. He stated we have done this in other places but wherever there is gas lines we are not allowed to do it.
