Item 1: VARIANCE from Chapter 275-58 side yard setback from 15’ to 5.5’ to install a walk in cooler. Location: 653 Grattan St. Assessor Map 392, Parcel 35. Applicant: Fedai Bayram, 44 James St. Agawam, MA 01001 Notes: The Applicant was not present at the meeting. The Board voted to table the hearing on this petition until July 12, 2017 to allow the Applicant to be present and to address concerns of several abutters. Motion to table was made by Christina Loy and seconded by Miguel Roldan. Vote was 4-0 to table the hearing on this petition until July 12, 2017. Location: 155 Langevin St. Assessor Map 739, Parcel 16. Applicant: Delfo and Elizabeth Barabani, Jr., same address. Notes: The Applicants explained their petition to the Board. It was the opinion of the Board that legitimate hardships existed with regard to the lot shape that prevented the Applicant from meeting required setbacks. The Board voted to approve the Applicant’s request. Motion to approve was made by Miguel Roldan and seconded by Derek Dobosz. Vote was 4-0 to approve. Kida Apartments Front St., Assessor Map 81, Parcel 27 Applicant: Timothy Murphy Architects, 380 High St., Holyoke, MA 01040 Notes: The Applicant explained the petition. Four abutters were present in opposition to the petition. The Board voted to table the petition to July 12, 2017 as several factors needed to be addressed including: Conservation Commission approval for the request as the proposed addition lies within Riverfront Area of the Chicopee River. Other concerns of the Board were the easement shown on the plans in relation to the proposed addition also concerns about sidewalks and handicap parking. Motion to table was made by Derek Dobosz and seconded by Christina Loy. Vote was 4-0 to table the hearing on this petition to July 12, 2017.
