CONCERNS AND COMMENTS FROM THE AUDIENCE
CORRESPONDENCE (in order of date received):
1. 10/16/20 – Edwards oil fuel pricing vs. ICO – Jon called ICO to get our price per gallon
reduced. ICO was charging us $0.15/gal. over the $0.20 delivery charge. (Credit given to Scott
Skalko from Edwards oil for discovering this overage.)
2. 10/27/20 – Conditional use permit application for 11402 Cooper Road – See handout – Is
there anything we should be concerned about? …Road restrictions? – Any comments submitted
by the township must be accompanied by an official town board resolution outlining the town’s response to the
conditional use permit request – Deadline is Dec. 10th, 2020
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Township investment of excess funds – MN Statute Chapter 118A from MAT Atty. – See
handout
2. Propane purchase – Ferrellgas has the best price – bid was given for $1.11/gal, but can be
purchased now for $1.03/gal. The $1.11/gal. price will last until 5/31/21 – see handout
3. Jon White – special meeting discussion
4. Snowplow inspections – When can we start cashing residents’ checks?
5. The light by the pavilion has been fixed. Just in time for the election.
6. Mary Bovitz – Maturi Road – paid for snow plowing to Balkan, not SLC – How should we
handle this?
7. Water/oil separator plan – See handout – Dirk
8. Check for the Food shelf – Covid-19 money- how much?
9. Snow blower for canister site – need to purchase
10. MN Revenue not filed for Quarter 3 2020 – Hold check?
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Work Priority Sheet
2. CARES act money for food shelf, CARES act money for hotspots? Time is running out
3. Closing out the COVID-19 money market account, writing the check to SLC for the
remaining amount – Due Nov 15th in SLC.
4. Compensatory time – in lieu of pay – can they take a day off whenever? Do they have to get
approval from the supervisors to take a day off? How far in advance?
5. New alternate for the canister site starts training after deer hunting – Ward Smilanich
