TOWN COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA
March 6, 2012

Call To Order: Pledge and Prayer

Approval of Prior Minutes:
Cicero Town Council Executive Session, February 21, 2012, 6:30 PM – Mr. Schrumpf
made a motion to approve the Cicero Town Council Executive Session Memorandum.
Ms. Hartley seconded, motion passed.
Town Council Meeting Minutes, February 21, 2012, 7:00 PM – Ms. Hartley made a
motion to approve the Town Council Meeting Minutes. Mr. Schrumpf seconded, motion
passed.
Approval of Agenda:
Mr. Hayden made a motion to approve the Agenda as presented. Mr. Schrumpf
seconded, motion passed.
Approval of Claims:
Mr. Hayden made a motion to approve the Claims as presented. Ms. Hartley seconded,
motion passed. Motion passes 4-0.
Petitions by Citizens:
There were none.
President’s Report:
Mr. Cook read a letter from President Foster explaining his appointment of Cory
Sylvester to the BZA. Mr. Munoz advised the Council that President Foster appointed
David Martin to the Plan Commission, thus filling both openings.
Cicero Redevelopment Commission will meet on May 20th, 6:30 PM
Council Committee Reports:
There were none.
Legal Counsel Report-John Culp:
There was nothing

Cicero/Jackson Township Plan Commission Report-Mr. Strong.
Mr. Strong had nothing.
Mr. Munoz advised council that a representative from Ball State will be giving a
presentation at the next Plan Commission meeting on March 14th regarding economic
development. He thought it would be beneficial for the council to hear the information.
Town Engineer Report-Mr. Keith Bryant –
1. Jackson Street Pedestrian Walkway – Mr. Bryant advised the council that they
have met with INDOT and Mr. Culp and United have put together paperwork for a
proposed easement across the causeway. The proposal was delivered to Citizen’s
with a deadline for response of March 16th , 2012. Other options regarding the
necessary right of way are being pursued pending an answer from Citizen’s.
2. Stringtown Pike Path – Mr. Bryant advised the council that the design for this
project is about 80% complete and the utility coordination will start soon.

New Business:
Council to Approve Proceeding With Additional Appropriation For Police, Parks, MVH,
And LR&S Departments.
Mr. Hayden made a motion to approve advertising for the Additional Appropriations for
the Police, Park, MVH, and LR&S and to set the public hearing for the additional
appropriation for April 3rd. Mr. Schrumpf seconded, motion passed.
Miscellaneous:
Mr. Cambre acknowledges CFD for their assistance today with an medic run involving a
park employee.
