TOWN OF CICERO TOWN COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES TUESDAY, JULY 19, 2022 at 7:00 PM Call to Order: President Amos called the meeting to order and lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Mr. Zawadzki gave the prayer. President Amos called for roll call. Members of the Cicero Town Council were present or absent as follows: Present: Chad Amos Absent: Chad Blueher Jerry Cook Chris Lutz Dan Strong Declare a Quorum Present: President Amos declared a quorum present. Others Present: Rhonda Gary, Clerk Treasurer Jeff Rednour, Police Chief Lance Overholser, Fire Chief Frank Zawadzki, Cicero/Jackson Township Plan Commission Director Terry Cooper, Street & Utilities Director Jim Hunter, Parks Superintendent Aaron Culp, Town Attorney Bruce Freeman, Storm Water Management Board President Approval of Agenda: Mr. Strong made a motion to approve the agenda as amended. Mr. Cook seconded, motion carried. Approval of Prior Minutes: Town Council Meeting Minutes, July 5, 2022, 7:00 PM Town Council Staff Meeting Minutes, July 14, 2022, 7:00 PM Mr. Blueher made a motion to approve the minutes listed above. Mr. Cook seconded; motion carried Approval of Claims: Mr. Cook made a motion to approve the claims dated 7/19/22 as presented. Mr. Lutz seconded, motion passed. Council Committee Reports: 1. OTC Report – Mr. Blueher reported that he had nothing new. 2. EDC Report – Mr. Cox was not present. 3. SWU Management Board Report – SWU President Freeman stated that he no new info to bring before the council. Legal Counsel Report – Mr. Culp had nothing at this time. 1 Cicero/Jackson Township Plan Commission – Mr. Zawadzki had nothing new to report. Town Engineer Report – 1. Tamarack and Auburn Estates – Mr. Bryant was not present, but sent an email stating that he has nothing new to report on the subdivisions. 2. Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant– Mr. Strong reported that weather permitting they plan to drill for water at the selected site(s) this week. Old Business: a. LOML – Mr. Cook made a motion to approve $2,500.00 to Lights Over Morse Lake. Mr. Blueher seconded, motion carried. b. Stringtown Pike Rehab Bid – Mr. Strong made a motion to allow President Amos to sign the notice of award which went to Grady Brothers Inc. in the amount of $982,095.00. Mr. Lutz seconded, motion carried. New Business: a. Additional Appropriation – Ms. Gary stated that the 080222 Council Meeting will include a public hearing for an additional appropriation in the amount of $25,000.00 for wastewater chemicals. b. Water Rate Ordinance – Mr. Lutz made a motion to approve Ordinance No. 7-19- 2022-1 An Ordinance Establishing Municipal Water Rates. Mr. Cook seconded, motion carried.
