TOWN OF CICERO TOWN COUNCIL STAFF MEETING MINUTES THURSDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2023 at 7:00 PM Call to Order: President Blueher called the meeting to order. Present: Chad Blueher Absent: Joe Cox Eric Hayden Dennis Johnson Chris Lutz Others Present: Rhonda Gary, Clerk Treasurer 1. Town Council – a. Alley on Pearl Street – Plan Commissioner Zawadzki relayed that the issue is not resolved, and he has issued a Stop Work Order. More information to follow. b. Investment Policy – Mr. Lutz inquired about the town’s funds available for investment. Ms. Gary is gathering information about the options available. More information to follow. c. Indiana On-Tap – Mr. Cox shared more information concerning the event. Council does not seem to be on board at this point. Mr. Cox will follow up at a later date with more information. d. Food & Beverage Tax – After discussion, council would like to continue to pursue this tax. 2. Parks – Superintendent Hunter had nothing to report. 3. Plan – Plan Commissioner Zawadzki had nothing to report. 4. Fire – Chief Overholser had nothing to report. 5. Police – Chief Rednour asked council’s blessing to implement a Crisis Intervention Team, more specifically, a comfort dog. There will be no expense to the town for this service. After a brief discussion, council was ok with it. 6. Water/Wastewater – Utility Director Cooper had nothing to report. 7. Clerk Treasurer –. a. Ms. Gary advised that the Christmas luncheon is tomorrow at noon and extended an invitation to the council members. b. The council scheduled the last meeting of the year to approve claims. The meeting will be held on 12/28/23 at 9:00am at the Town Hall. c. Ms. Gary reported that the new payroll employee will start on Monday. d. Ms. Gary reported that Invoice Cloud is scheduled to go live on 2/20/24. 1  8. Project Coordinator – Mr. Strong relayed that the Plan Commission gave an unfavorable recommendation for Lennar’s new subdivision proposal. Mr. Strong stated that they have options available. Those being they could bring a new plan, withdraw the request or ask town council for an official vote. Motion to Adjourn: Mr. Cox made the motion. Mr. Johnson seconded, motion carried.
